Gun owners who prefer a hollow point design to a full metal jacket might have found a new favorite.
G2 Research (G2R) released its new Radically Invasive Projectile (R.I.P.) this month, hoping to take the civilian and law enforcement markets by storm, and truly become the last round youll ever need.
G2R, based in Winder, Ga., highlights that the bullet points are manufactured with trocar angles or simply put, edges with three angles reaching one point to penetrate the dermis layer more efficiently.
The G2R website explains the R.I.P. acts like a full metal jacket when it impacts solid objects: It is capable of going through barriers such as sheet rock, plywood, sheet metal or glass and still performs its original intent. The bullet shreds through solid objects and only then, expands its energy.

Different concept, I think. Isn’t that what the air marshals use?
Hollow points with curare sealed with wax.
Fragmenting bullets are nothing new, but these seem to have some decent penetration as well.
================================================================== Sounds good until you stop and think abut what happens to the rounds that miss their target. To me they do not sound like the best set up for an urban setting. Collateral damage could be pretty bad.
Sabots also insulate the bullets from the rifling in the barrel. I love them but the cops hate them. There are no rifling marks on the fired bullets so they can not be associated with any one barrel or firearm.
I doubt it. Pieces are too light, as usual, imo.
Don’t trust their videos. Wait for independent tests.
I reckon you still gotta hit what you’re aimin’ at.
Shredded pork bob-oh-que?
I’m working on a .45ACP explosive-tipped depleted uranium projectile coated with Teflon for the ultimate in hoplophobomania bullet!
Looks like Edward ScissorsHands type of round. I saw the ballistic gel tests a few days ago, and those pieces act like fleschettes from a special shotgun shell. What’s left of the copper round’s base is small compared to a .45cal 230gr HP, but the wound cavity damage is genuinely nasty. Other tsts:

Did you get them online? Under what mfgr’s name? Link?
Shot placement is the only good manstopper.

Are you trying to suggest Diane might be female? I never considered that thought. I thought the guy just had a really bad haircut.
The gun banners will wet their pants over this.

“It shoots through schools.”
As a buddy of mine says....
“Shot placement is King.”
“Adequate penetration is Queen.”
“Everything else is angels dancing on the head of a pin.”
