Yes, Ma’am.
Went through ITR and Artillery School at Pendleton. That was back in the days where we had our own Artillery Schools.

JANUARY 30 THRU FEBRUARY 2Later on this week, Ill tell the story of how I accidently planted the seeds that created the Ehnes String Quartet. On Thursday night, theyll play Bartoks first quartet. As I mentioned before, Bartok filtered Hungarian folk music through a dissonant prism, and his music isnt for everybody.
Bartok: String Quartet #1, Sz. 40, third movement

Yes it looks scary to me. I was just thinking if it went off the tread way, it would probably go upside down in the river and everyone would be trapped.

JANUARY 30 THRU FEBRUARY 2Beethoven wrote five sonatas for cello and piano, and on Friday night were going to hear the second sonata, which is an early piece. Lou wrote the piano part for himself, and the cello doesnt get quite the spotlight that it gets in the last three sonatas. Beethoven wasnt quite sure enough of his style to write a slow movement for cello that would come later so he wrote a slow introduction instead for this two movement piece.
This video is of Richter and Rostropovich from about 50 years ago from Soviet television. They were two of the greatest musical giants of the 20th Century. Listen to what they do with this piece.
Beethoven: Sonata for Cello and Piano in G minor, Op. 5/2
