Video of a police standoff contradicts the initial Pinal County Sheriff's Office description of the chain of events that led to the shooting death of a suspected car thief. The man had led police and sheriff's deputies on a chase through Casa Grande and Eloy for nearly an hour, before deputies immobilized the car he was driving.
A witness shot the video on a cell phone. It shows the final moments of the standoff, when deputies were ordering Manuel Longoria to surrender. The deputies had their weapons drawn and fired five bean bag rounds at the suspect, in addition to Taser rounds.
Longoria appeared to be moving his arms around, and did not appear to be cooperating with the deputies. Seconds later, the video shows Longoria turn his back on the deputies and raise both hands into the air, high over his head. One second later, a lone deputy fired two shots, killing Longoria.

And AMEN to your AMEN!
Murder by cop is more like it.
Sick freaking ameriKa.
They missed
Yeah, this will be a double barrel one for Wolfie.
WTF!
This is what happens when the cops run out of dogs to shoot. (I’m beginning to wonder, with the number of these killings of dogs, people, etc, just how many of these cops might be jacked up on steroids, meth, or oxy.)
Let's say the cops kick in the wrong door, and the resident, thinking it's a home invasion, puts a bullet thru the cop's head before realizing it's a cop.
Would it be likely that the prosecutor would accept the ignisecond defense, or would he be charged with "murder one" (in the unlikely case the resident survived).
Ping for later viewing: (Murderous cops).
“Only pigs can get away with that one.”
Please don’t confuse pigs with cops. Pigs actually have some use for mankind.
I’m glad all the cops went home safe, because THAT’S what really matters.

In the Middle East they have a tradition of stories, kind of like Aesop's Fables. These involve a fellow named Nasruddin who is both wise and stupid. One story goes like this:
A man went to Nasruddin in a very distressed state. "Nasruddin!" he said. "I have terrible news! My ox broke through the fence and gored your prize ox! What shall we do?"
Nasruddin became very serious and said, "That ox was worth as much as your house! The matter is clear -- you must pay me immediately!"
The man smiled and said, "In my excitement, I may have told the story badly. You see, Nasruddin, the ox that escaped was yours. And the prize ox which was gored was mine. But, the end result is the same. When will you pay me?"
"Not so fast! exclaimed Nasruddin. "A case like this can be surprisingly complicated! I suggest we take the matter to my brother the magistrate ..."
Is that for real?
Looks like a lot less than one second after he turns around. My guess is closer to 1/4 of a second. Just the sort of time interval between someone deciding to shoot, and shooting. They should be able to obtain a precise time from the recording.
If the deputies would have held off of firing another half of a second, it likely would not have happened.
Alternatively, he could have reacted a bit quicker.
I was not there, but I did not see a weapon in his hands. I wonder if he was drugged or drunk to ignore the bean bag rounds and taser.

I heard a bunch of smaller ‘pops’ before the obvious real bullets, were those beanbag rounds? Could the cop firing the fatal shots not have known the others were firing nonlethal ammo and thought it was Hammer Time ?
Maybe he was reaching for his bag of kittens and puppies?
He is not. It is more of a courtesy ping because he/she could always be counted on to defend/lick the jackboots. Usually either myself, bobby.223, or NullandVoid would ping him/her
haha, he must be howling at the moon by now.
