In his hunt for reelection, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker is leading his Democratic opponent Mary Burke, according to a new poll released Monday. The Marquette Law School poll has the Republican governor ahead 47 to 41 percent among registered voters. The same poll has 54 percent of respondents saying the state is heading in the right direction, compared to 40 percent who say it is not. With the election still nine months away, Burke will have to play catch up to familiarize voters with her stance on issues; 70 percent of respondents say they have not heard enough about her to hold an opinion of her. Walker was first elected to the governors mansion in Madison in 2010. He faced a contentious and expensive recall effort in 2012 that captured national attention, and was fueled in large part by anger over sweeping legislation he signed curbing the collective bargaining powers of public unions in the state. Walker won that election against Democratic rival Tom Barrett with 53 percent of the vote to Barretts 46 percent. The poll of 802 registered voters was conducted Jan. 20 to Jan. 23 and has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.5 percentage points.

So far, the Leftist courts in the state have unilaterally, without any rational basis whatsoever, struck down the common sense election poll integrity (voter I.D.) law.
Walker must, indeed, have won by an incredible margin if he was still able to overcome the polling place fraud perpetrated by Democrats.
YAY!!
You can bet your bottom dollar that there will be a strong effort to round up votes in cemeteries all over the state.
Every time he wins, he gets stronger.
As of now he’s my top choice for 2016 POTUS.
It would take about two minutes for anybody, anywhere, to get all caught up on where Mary Burke stands on almost any issue that is of interest to Wisconsin.
Whatever Scott Walker is striving to achieve, she would go to work immediately, as governor to dismantle it. Taxes go up, school districts would be reduced again to surrendering most of their autonomy to the union demands, and most of the “green” initiatives would be restored. Wisconsin would become Illinois North.
Agreed!
I firmly believe that the PENALTIES for VOTER FRAUD, VOTER INTIMIDATION and BALLOT TAMPERING/MANIPULATION shoule be so steep and severe that NO ONE in their right mind would ever risk it.
I am not saying that these offenses should warrant the death penalty, either. More along the lines of huge monetary penalties, permanent forfeiture of the right to vote and the inability to ever be the beneficiary of any/all tax-payer provided services would be a good start.
would you please quit spamming the Frontpage sidebar?
He’ll be helped by Obama’s plummeting poll numbers.
With all the good accomplishments he has achieved for the people of his state it is a wonder to me that anyone is running against him.
Of course, such is a rational approach. But the anarchists would whine and say that such stiff penalties would have the effect of "suppressing" the vote because they are so severe and "scare people away." I kid you not; these are the arguments these reprobates make.

A good long MANDATORY prison sentence (at least 3 years) would go a long way toward deterring such actions.
I have to pretty much agree.
Now if James Mattis decides to run...I may have to re-think that.
Registered voter poll is less than worthless. It always oversamples Democrats.
I agree with you about the anarchists and their incessant whining.
Personally I believe that they need a good, solid shot in the mouth when they start up with that crap....
But...that’s just me. I’ve had it with those bowl floaters.
Yup...mine too...
Of course the "purists" will find something wrong with him....
Can't wait for them to pass on a great candidate so HIllary can have a cakewalk in 2016...
Watch the unions bus in voters from Illinois once again.
“Personally I believe that they need a good, solid shot in the mouth when they start up with that crap....”
In the old days, you could do this w/o losing everything. A couple of men would get into an argument, beat the crap out of each other if it rose to that level (or one would get some sense knocked into him), and that would be that.
Today that is not the case as you risk losing everything you either own or will own in the courts (unless you’re a group of Union thugs on a quest to beat people that disagree with you).
Its amazing that the rise in “Progressive” politics has taken place during this time, isn’t it? :-) /sarcasm on
That would be a great bill...but “our” side would negotiate it down to “electronic voting booths where ever ballots are cast” and then claim victory.
Yep.
I also came of age in those times when men were man enough to take care of themselves.
What makes Politico think that voters will fall for Burke's stance on the issues?
Oh, that's right, she's a Democrat. That means she'll be lying and the media will foist an uproar over some minutia about Walker. I forgot. /s
