Tonight/Tuesday morning will be one week since I lost my Dad, William. He was a great man, who never hurt anyone. He should not have died. He was, I believe, failed by those that were supposed to be helping him. I prayed for your father and his family, but I have to tell you--if and when your father eventually passes, (whether now or years down the road) it
will be painful. You can not prepare for the sadness and hurt that comes with losing the one you love most in life. I am still crying. People are telling me it will get easier, and I believe them, but...
If you can talk to him, do so. Talk about getting everything in order to make it easier for Mom. Ask him questions you never asked him before for whatever reason; questions about his childhood, before he met Mom, what is he thinking about now, etc..
