As House Republicans prepare to wrestle with their differences on immigration at an annual retreat next week, one GOP lawmaker from the Central Valley is signaling there may be movement on an issue that has split the party. At the same time, a high-profile group of bipartisan leaders met in Silicon Valley Thursday to unveil a report showing immigrants are key to a robust U.S. economy.
The report by the Bipartisan Policy Center was released by former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and former Secretary of Homeland Security Michael Chertoff, both Republicans, and former Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Henry Cisneros, a Democrat. They argued that America’s population is aging and needs immigrants to keep the labor force growing. A healthy economy, in turn, will enable the United States to maintain its global political and military preeminence.
“Immigrants not only add to the sheer numbers — so they continue the growth process,” said Cisneros, “but they tend to be younger — therefore they form families, therefore they have children, so they create the generation to come.”

We may have the chance to take the Senate, so I don’t mind your disagreement.
Note that the GOPe cares so little about taking the majority, that they would dare chance an immigration reform with eventual citizenship included in this election year.
Sure gives me chills, and a desire to help the party.

Condi Rice said she opposes state immigration laws. She thinks Ted Kennedy had a great plan when she was promoting her book in 2011.
The Two Party System disappeared long ago, no both are the party of Government.
I will never vote for another RINO Republican under any circumstance and before any elitist Republican begins asking even if it means not gaining the Senate? Yes, even if we have to throw the Senate to the liberal socialist, I will never vote for another RINO, since all I would be doing is voting for a liberal socialist light who thinks its cool to walk across the isle and lick a phony liberal socialist's arse to get along with him or her. This so called “compromising” simply allows the socialist to keep moving the socialist ball down the field at great expense and cost to our liberty and our children who are left holding the bag for these RINO’s!
This immigration amnesty push is a perfect example of the RINO’s misreading the tea leaves in this Country. 78% of Americans do not view immigration as a priority, but, the RINO’s are in the back pocket of the Communist of Commerce who are paying for their votes, to the American people are no longer represented by their Representatives and the RINO’s are pushing amnesty for Mexican Nationals who have broke our laws and remain in this Country illegally!
The GOP phoned me the other day and wanted me to donate to them, I told them to get their donations from their constituencies, the Mexican Nationals who they now represent, because the current immigration laws in the United States were not being enforced in order to change the “white demographics” and provide for newly registered communist for the Democrat party, the man on the phone did not like hearing that and slammed the phone down in my ear!
No Sir, the GOP RINO’s are just as much an enemy of this Nation as the Communist who are in control of this Administration are!
Screw the GOP RINO’s, no more support from me or my immediate family!

I believe your post in eight stated you didn’t mind the illegals being allowed to stay here. You even voiced support for bringing more immigrants in.
What do you think that results in, if not what I stated?
Do you understand the corrosive nature of that, in modern times?
When you flood a region with foreign nationals, whose social mores become the prominent social mores?
Lets say we decide to allow 500,000 immigrants from Afghanistan in. How many 75,000 population towns are within 10 to 20 years two thirds Afghanistan for all intents and purposes? And that’s exactly what has been taking place across our nation.
We are being flooded with foreigners. Their social norms are prevailing, not ours, and it is impacting us in ways that are destroying our nation.
I know of one 200,000 citizen community that went from a solid lock Republican to a solid lock Democrat constituency in less than 20 years.
The Dems love this stuff.

It seemed to me to be reasoned to remind you that we are paying out half a trillion to people in our nation who are citizens and playing by the rules. If we convert illegals into folks who play by the rules, is it of no concern that they will still be leaches on our society.
I think my reading of your post came away with a conclusion you don't appreciate, but I'm not convinced I've been unfair in the process.
