Bill Kristol announces on FTN that Coburn, Hatch and Burr will unveil a comprehensive GOP alternative to ObamaCare tomorrow.
10:56 AM - 26 Jan 2014
LOL. Talking trees.
AB - that would be SUPER!!! I’d LOVE to see Sister Pat on C-SPAN on the floor of the Senate - - YOWSA! We could say we knew that Star back whenand knew she would go places :-)
Almost everyone of the people signing up who DIDN'T have coverage before are going on Medicaid, which is NOT funded for this. Each state pays, so it is going to cost ALL of us billions of $. Worthy of lauding in the SOTU Address? I think not. I also think the media will never mention this expensive truth, so the LIVs will simply cheer.
“- She started falling off the edge during GWs second term and has gone over to the dark side. -”
I have seen a trend as well. I used to subscribe to Forbes. After the old man died, Steve took over, it took about Three-Four years of Steve running Forbes when I finally gave up.
I am seeing the same going on with National Review.
It must be time for someone to come along and start their own new conservative publication. While I enjoy the WEB - Braitbart, FR, orther, - I need a piece of paper
So you want foreigners able to be president.
Whoa - 17 - Brr. I need to go tidy up some things in my garage but waiting until it warms up a bit - sunny (it really does not rain all the time in Seattle! - -sunny yesterday, too) but only 30 here right now. Supposed to get up to about 49 today (globull warning, don’t you know).
Congratulations on your new title. We have a town up here by that name.
Bill Kristol announces on FTN that Coburn, Hatch and Burr will unveil a comprehensive GOP alternative to ObamaCare tomorrow.
Hatch & Burr? Is this a joke?
Talking points are not good enough. We need engagement as proof the GOP actually intend to do something. What specific actions have they taken in opposition to obamacare?
For example, why was the obamacare transparency legislation not attached to Ryan-Murray? The Dems attached IRS language to the Omnibus bill. Why no obamacare language from the GOP?
It’s all posturing and talk until proven otherwise. There is a pile of stuff the GOP could have done to help millions of people being assaulted by obamacare. That they have not speaks volumes to their actual intentions.
Agree! I think that was one of the points I was trying to make, but unfortunately didn’t do it very well - - need to not type so quickly and be more precise in my choice of words.
Hopefully, the Pubbie or Tea Party rebuttal will make it clear about what Obammacare has done and is doing to what was the greatest healthcare system on the planet (e.g., most signing up are signing up for Medicaid, we’re paying for it, doctors are quitting, many have lost their healthcare, many are paying more, if you liked your plan you DIDN’T get to keep it, etc., etc.).
“-Like my Sussex chair told me, after assuring me of his love, that he agreed with me 99.5% of the time, but he didnt approve of my tactics.
I say its time for tactics.....nothing else is working.-”
Interesting comment that - “Tactics”. The commies use it all the time.
All wimps shake with fear when someone gets in their face. Do it now, Do it often
Subway will rue the day they hooked up with Michelle “Hate America & White People” Obama!! “u’ are right on....the viewership of this “farce” SOTU speech will be shunned and avoided by millions upon millions of American. Why? simple.....Obama just simply tells all lies!!!
I must admit......I think I sense a pulse of comeback from our usual deadbeat Pubbies. We shall see!!! As for the Dems....they are in panic mode!!! Idiots do not realize the only way out of their 2014 election devastation is to force Obama to resign or impeach him. That....of course....will not happen. They (Dems) will lose both houses in November, 2014!!!
For sure the live bait's feeling the pinch.
My real point was that I'm seeing more and more of the Big Time Charlies getting the wind up and heading for cover.
...like my very own 'rat senators. I don't think either of 'em have appeared in Montana under anything less than Total Blackout security and then only before certified worshipful audiences since they shoved O'Care down our throats.
Last election, Tester got himself re-elected (under circumstances that still have a whole lot of us at the boiling point), did a little celebratory break dance over at the Billings "news"paper office and immediately scurried back to his bunker.
Shortly thereafter, Baucus announces that he ain't running in '14, everybody (especially the 'rats) go WTF and now he's resigning so he can go try to copy Mike Mansfield playing Ambassador to Red China. Never thought much of Max as a representative of anybody or thing, but since he's renowned for his ability to protect his own sweet self, I'd take his Big Bug Out as at least one proof of my point.
...and do I hear the faint sounds of other 'rat political types suddenly heading for the exits???
Got to think that the screwed up rollout of O'Care might have been the first whiff that those bums needed to indicate they'd better get out of Dodge before the wheels come off of this whole con game.
...and those "dummys at the bottom of the food chain" come looking for somebody's neck.
Time to get rid of this guy. He doesn't act like he is part of the opposition party. He accepted (sort of) responsibility for the shutdown. Actually, the Dems shutdown the government and it was only a partial shutdown. 85% of the government was operating. He could have linked Obama's actions of shutting down our monuments to inflict as much pain as possible on the American people to Christie's bridgegate. Boehner is a drunk and an idiot.
17! That’s sad. I’ve been working outside, too. 58 degrees right this moment....
Headin’ back out there in it Larri...I’m aright.
Oh she is running SC, unless she had some kind of health event. She looks like hell these days, despite the plastic surgery or whatever she had had done.
I Love the Cruz/Rand ticket.
Agree that the Dims are in panic mode. While they usually bash and lie about Republicans, some of them have really gone over the top lately.
Speaking of the SOTU and Cruz, I just saw this thread - - check out the gif in post #14 (I’d post it here, but don’t know how).
It says it all - McPain and his sidekick Lindsey are smiling ear to ear and standing and applauding with Chuckie while Cruz is sitting there looking disgusted.

I suspect the Dims will want to “buddy up” and have the Reps sit with them this year - - funny, that only started under Obama. You know ol’ Sheila Jackson will be there on the aisle waiting for a hug and kiss again this year. Wonder if Hillary! will be Moochelle’s special guest, along with a couple of token military folks (’cause she reallllllly supports the military), and the head of Subway.
liked him and respected him

I got to meet Congressman Ron Paul at a GOP rally in South Carolina Jan 2008
I spent quite a couple of hours with him and his staff..
He was a gentleman and quiet spoken and worthy of respect..
BTW 2 of the Romney boys were at the same event and they were rude and mocking and nasty..
quite a contrast..
The Paul, Thompson, and McCain workers were all nice to one another and we had a great time..
(I was there representing Congressman Duncan Hunter)
