Several people have been injured after a shooting at the Columbia Mall.
The exact number of injured people or extent of their injuries isn’t known.

Per the Baltimore County scanner, they are having people shelter in place, then sending the people to secure locations (in the mall) to shelter in place until the cops clear the people to leave. They are still searching the mall.

Looks like there was another one in Dallas last month. No injuries at it.

When I lived there, I had a chance to talk to a LEO at a range, and I asked him about getting a CC permit. This is what he said:
1. You have to have already been shot. (Must demonstrate need)
2. You have to know who shot you. (Can’t be a “random” crime)
3. You have to know somebody. (Must have some political connections)
He told me that my chance of getting a permit were exactly zero.
that sounds like my kinda place...
Too bad the shooter did not have a CCW from out of state, say...... Florida, then the police could of stopped them as they drove into Maryland.
Upscale? I guess it coulda happened but The Corps gave me a bus tour from Baltimore thru DC to Quantico in 1961 and I don’t remember anything but krap. The most recurring scene was an unpainted house, TV sitting in the doorway, and all the folks sitting in a car in the yard watching it——mile after mile. I suppose now they sit in the cars to talk on the Obnamaphone and count up the EBT cards? No shootings at the time——there wasn’t anything worth hitting.
But I did ask the Captain if we were going to attack it? I think he said something like “they’ve already surrendered.”
Alaska is even worse! We have Grizzly Bears, ice bergs and glaciers. It is an icy hell eleven months out of the year. We have ten churches for every bar or tavern. There are no roads between towns. There are no real cities, no theater, ballet or public bath houses. They still allow smoking in bars in some towns and there are guns everywhere!
My democrat friend just called me and suggested that the shooter was merely taking advantage of his second amendment rights.
So when that person comes at you again and you shoot them the prosecution can say you had intent and premeditation...
The government has most Americans so afraid to even touch a firearm, they pass out at the sight of a firearm, they become fodder for any whack-job with a firearm hell bent of murder!
More Americans need to train with a firearm of their choice daily. Use a combat training situation, practice makes perfect. Train under pressure, the same pressure you would be under in any mass shooting incident an American may find themselves in.

Howard County is generally one of the safest counties in the USA. It has about 250,000 people and about 2 murders a year.
Howard County may also have one of the largest police forces per capita in the country. They will ticket you for anything especially speeding but also for littering or jaywalking.
And if you drive through Howard county, you will find it remarkably litter free.
This it all the fault of the mall management.
Uh—I don’t believe the 2A gives us the right to shoot up a mall………...
