News flash: things have changed a lot since 1961. A lot. The average house in DC now, the kind my family lived in back in the day on working class wages, is now over $700,00, and upscale properties are in the millions and multi-millions.
Howard county is one of the top few wealthiest counties in the country.
$108,000 median income in howard county
Yep, I have turned around and walked away from more than one place with money in my pocket and a holster on my belt. Haven’t been back to those places without my firearm either.
Well, if you go by the six week cycle, yesterday was the day the FBInwould have some event...
The website is predicting next weekend however..6weekcyle.com
But from the last event, the 24th would have been the six weeks..
Feet, don't fail me now ...
I wonder if hes French...
Jasonne ... Jones - NOT French !!!
In the 1950's and prior [before the "Frenchifying" of black names, his name would be Leroy or some such ...
Yeah, but do they still sit in their cars in the yard watching a rabbit-eared TV in the house? For 108K$ they should have moved back into the house by now, I guess? The rest of us have certainly shoved enough money into the general neighborhood since 1961 so’s they could have planted some grass in the yards?
Yep, regime is getting desperate:
I can’t wait to see the crisis actors in this one....
will the vicsims be ready to sing at the superbowl like the Sandy Hook vicsims did? utube it if you don’t believe me
Did you mean 700K$? $70,000 would buy you a railroad house in most of the country now and you might not even get a TV cable. And by the way the humidity sucks also. I lost 15 pounds in six weeks back there and I was already in top shape. I travel over/thru that general neighborhood occasionally and I always keep the hammer down-—just not my kind of place.
Personally, I can't stand this favorite new term of law enforcement, "shelter in place". I never heard it until a couple of years ago, and now I hear it all the time.
Why can't they just say "don't leave" or "stay where you are" like they used to?
If Obama had gotten away with his Gun Control a while back THIS shooting would have had something to do with “Climate Change”.
My God, it’s Saturday and didn’t even check FR today. Found out from my husband who was working all day today 10 min from there.
All of us are 10 min from the Mall. Our house, and my parents’ where I have been most of the day. He came home and told us! We had no idea. He knew because his mother checked on him at work, to ensure he wasn’t at the Mall!
BTW, husband says 29 near the mall was no problem for him coming back here, at 4:30.
Howard County Police Chief Bill McMahon told reporters that the shooter apparently fatally shot a man and woman in their 20s — both store employees — before shooting himself in a store on the second floor. The motive was unclear.
The body of the suspected shooter was found near a shotgun on the floor of Zumiez, a shop that caters to skaters, police said. A large amount of ammunition was found near the body, leading investigators to suspect that he might be carrying explosives.

Police identified the two killed as Brianna Benlolo, 21, of College Park, Md. and Tyler Johnson, 25, of Ellicott City, Md. Both were employees of Zumiez, a store on the upper level of the mall that caters to young shoppers, police said at an afternoon press conference.
Law enforcement sources told NBCNews that the shooting appears to have begun with a domestic dispute. However, Howard County Police have not confirmed that report, saying the motive remains unknown and they do not know the identity of the shooter.
