Howard County Police Chief Bill McMahon told reporters that the shooter apparently fatally shot a man and woman in their 20s — both store employees — before shooting himself in a store on the second floor. The motive was unclear.
The body of the suspected shooter was found near a shotgun on the floor of Zumiez, a shop that caters to skaters, police said. A large amount of ammunition was found near the body, leading investigators to suspect that he might be carrying explosives.

There was a rumor a little while ago that the REAL shooter dumped his gun and ammo near the last victim. They were saying it didn't make sense for the shooter to empty his pockets of ammo before killing himself. The LEOs also, for some reason, are checking for a bomb.
I'm sure the simplest explanation is what really happened, but a conspiracy theory is hard to pass up.
