WASHINGTON, DC Today, First Lady Michelle Obama joined the Partnership for a Healthier America (PHA) and SUBWAY® along with SUBWAY® Famous Fans Michael Phelps, Nastia Liukin, and Justin Tuck at a local Washington, DC, SUBWAY® Restaurant, to announce a three-year commitment by the chain in support of her Lets Move! initiative to promote healthier choices to kids, including launching its largest targeted marketing effort to date. In addition to strengthening its already nutritious menu offerings to kids, SUBWAY® will launch a new series of campaigns for kids aimed at increasing fruit and vegetable consumption and will set new standards for marketing products to families.
Im excited about these initiatives not just as a First Lady, but also as a mom, said First Lady Michelle Obama. Subway's kids' menu makes life easier for parents, because they know that no matter what their kids order, its going to be a healthy choice.

From here on out, if I want a sandwich I’m going to Togo’s.
You are right...but I will give them to homeless vets and be glad I had them!
I won’t even get indigestion that way!
If Subway becomes the official Obammunist fast food chain, complete with Wookie posters, then everyone needs to go in there, do double-takes at the posters, proclaim their immediate loss of appetite and subsequent intent to never step in a Subway Shop again.
Can’t stand them so won’t be missing them.
Is this the chain that sells halal meat?
I'm sure she's had that procedure.
When my 3 YO grandson visits us (which is usually once a week), I've done a pretty good job of giving him what he likes. It could be pasta with bison meat in marinara sauce, salad with lots of tomatoes, (almost) homemade vegetable soup, or simple peanut butter sandwiches. He'll also help himself to popsicles, or other goodies in the freezer.
My 11 YO son loves beefaroni and spaghetti, Chick-fil-A, and Wendy's chili. As active as he is with sports and Boy Scouts, he doesn't gain much weight.
I like Subway, but I'm looking for another sub shop for the rare occasions when I'll eat a sandwich.
Getting increasingly more difficult to stay with businesses whose products I have enjoyed, thanks to this thugocracy. Scratch one more off the list.
I'd say that the comments are well beyond being just brutal. The several dozen that I skimmed through were all negative. Subway has really opened a can of worms with a move this colossally stupid.
Too bad we have to see a damned Subway commercial on virtually every commercial break while watching football. Hopefully the Super Bowl will be different. I won’t be able to think of anything but this nonsense when I see those ads now.
Protest submitted. Thank you for the link.
Thanks for the links.
If they’re figuring on covering their lost customers with new business from Pajama Boy and his friends, I’m afraid they’re going to be sorely disappointed!
As I sit here I am at the BX Food court at my local AF base. There is a Subway directly in front of me. I specifically walked past SW to the Charley’s a couple stores down.
My five year old grandson loves dill pickles, maraschino cherries, onion rings and cherry tomatoes. A real sophisticated palate.
For years, Subway has made jabs at overweight people. I’m not talking about Jared but the other commercials such as larger people breaking diving boards and popping their clothes and insulting ads on the food trays. Sure, a foot long (in reality 11”) loaf of bread, sauce and cheese is really low fat and low carb, not. I could make at least a half dozen sandwiches for the price of one of theirs. Now they’re kissing up to Moo? Nope, I don’t think so. Can’t wait to see their sales bottom out.
Kids eat Subway?
You’re welcome...I patronized Subway because it was convenient, but I have other options and will now patronize them now instead of Subway.
Obama made Subway an offer they couldn’t refuse.
Who came up with the idea of Subway using Moosie as a spokeswoman?
Quiznos?
