Nicole Oulson told a national television audience today that she wants Curtis Reeves, the man accused of killing her husband in a Wesley Chapel movie theater, to spend the rest of his life in prison.
He brought an unfair life sentence to me to have to raise my daughter alone, to have to live without the love of my life, for my daughter to grow up without her daddy by her side for graduation and marriage, Oulson said on ABCs Good Morning America. It was so unnecessary, it was for no reason. So I want him behind bars and to be punished for his senseless act.
I agree with the woman and a also hoping he spends the rest of his life in prison. CCW does not mean you are the usher and enforcer of manners in the theater, telling others to not text during coming attractions.
CCW means you are the politest person there, avoiding confrontations over trivial provocations, yet ready to use deadly violence when some Aurora attack begins.
Apparently this crazy old SOB did the same thing hall monitor act some young woman the week before, going as far as following her to a restroom.
Guys like him are why gun rights are always in danger.
There are plenty of self righteous jerks on this forum and elsewhere who will shout for Reeves’ blood and whine about the dead guy being shot for no reason. However, had the deceased not been anoying Reeves and had not thrown popcorn in his face, he would not be dead.
It is for a jury to decide the facts, of which we are not in posession, regarding the guilt or innocence of the shooter. The crap this woman is pulling is self serving and poisonous.
Me no get mind of what you say. Me making no sensical of sounds.
NO ONE is justifying the shooting. Don’t put words in my mouth. You can reply to my comments as they were written, or you can start your own thread.
But if you are related to the victim (and an eye witness), don't you DARE go on TV and ask for justice!
For all Carry and Conceal people.. (that includes me).... it’s against the law to shoot and kill someone in a movie theater because they ignored your demands they quit texting. Even if they throw popcorn on you.
Your post was classless. You know nothing about the woman. You have an agenda. Take a hike.
Right, because the right to kill people who mildly annoy you is right there in the Bill of Rights.
Shooter Dude went to theater management. After that, you wait until the offender is ejected, watching from the aisle with great satisfaction.
Then as a bonus, you demand free tickets to the movie of your choice because 'this one was RUNED'.
You get to experience shadenfreude as the texting jerk is tossed. You get free tickets. You still watch the movie. And, most importantly, you do not spend the rest of your life in jail because you couldn't control your anger.
Agree. A weapon should only be drawn when you’re life is in immediate danger.
Not sure popcorn being tossed at you constitutes immediate danger.
Point of fact, though, is she is making the case HARDER to prosecute. Defense can claim an impartial trial is impossible, because jurors are subjected to this stuff pre-trial.
“The bigger question is what was and is now her position on concealed carry “
She likely turned against it. And this is why the jerk cop that did this is no good. His actions make the non carrying public more likely to think that CCW is probably not a good idea in practice.
Face facts people, some virulently oppose CCW. We deeply support it and know why we need it. But the overwhelming majority of people don’t carry and don’t think about it. They only think about it when some CCW use occurs. If its legit, they think “Ok”. If it’s some idiot like this guy, they start to turn against us. Enough uses like this theater shooter and we’ll eventually lose our rights.
CCW doesn’t mean you get to pick fights over trivial crap, and then use the gun when the person you provoke turns out to be bigger than you or something.
He was probably worried about the fake butter. Its been known to cause cancer.

Right... he should have just been pistol whipped.
I will carve out an exception for any popcorn who's relative velocity to the subject exceeds ninety percent of C.
Hold all calls..... we have a winner!
lol
Navy officials confirmed he served in the Navy from 1990 to 1997, reaching the rank of petty officer 2nd class. He had a clean record during his time and was last stationed in Jacksonville, Fla.
I'm fairly certain he was no stranger to people of "authority."
type who mouthed off to anyone who came across as an authority figure.
Retired or active, police are not our masters and contrary to popular belief, they don't have the authority to pick fights in movie theaters and murder people.
This bastard tried to cause problems and harassed a woman in the same movie theater just two weeks prior. His "authority" was disrespected. It sounds like the retired cop, that started the area's first SWAT team is a jackboot hothead and is now facing life in prison, which at 71, shouldn't be too long.
I don't go to movie theaters because I can't stand people texting, the floors are sticky, and it seems like a general waste of money......but I'm not going to cause an altercation and escalating it to the point of killing a man and wounding his wife because someone sent a text message during the previews.
“So we can forget about the judge and the jury. We don’t need them anymore. Right? “
You really expect a widowed mother with a toddler, to not express that she wants him to spend the rest of his life in prison? That’s downright silly to expect her to sob quietly, avoid all comments, and possibly only opine that the legal system should do its job and she will be content with the result.
She might actually have strong feelings on the topic, She got hit by his bullets too.
