The first family visited the DC Central Kitchen as part of a Martin Luther King Day service project, where they prepared meals that will be distributed to shelters around the city.
The family prepared beef burritos alongside regular volunteers. President Obama complimented his younger daughter Sasha’s burrito technique as “outstanding” and said with a smile he was very proud of her.
The family chose the DC Central Kitchen because they are celebrating their 25th anniversary of taking local produce and leftover meals that they turn into 5,000 meals.

With the world events etc. happening it’s pretty easy to see our President hasn’t much to do about nothing in his mind.
Playing Suzy homemaker is about as much as he can pull off....Anything else he attempts he gets trashed!

You have to give it to the Obamas. Most people just listen to his I Have A Dream speech. Very few reach back far enough to MLK’s early “I wish every American had some beans and cheese wrapped into a tortilla” speech.

While I don’t see the MLK connection, at least feeding the hungry is a genuinely good action, regardless of how exploitative BHO’s motive may have been. This may be Obama’s first genuinely good action in the terrible five years he has been in power.
