A Metro passenger used his cell phone's video camera to capture a confrontation between a woman and two LA County sheriff's deputies on a bus in Bellflower.
I don’t know exactly. She is described as pushing a baby carriage full of pillows, greeting everybody on the bus and being “obviously special needs.”

Any luck finding the raw unedited version of the video? It should of been linked by the web site, but I could not find it.
The fact that you cannot absorb bad behavior from the mentally ill or from special needs citizens is evidence why you should not be a cop. I shouldn’t be one either. For the same reason.
The guy who filmed this assault (Germain Greenman, if I heard the video correctly) is a great American.
Your kids will have arrest records, no matter what happens in court next week. That will come in handy when they have kids of their own and the gummint decide they don’t like the way they’re being raised.
It’s not going to stop until they start getting their fool heads blown off after breaking through the wrong doors. As long as they are confident they’ll go home safe at the end of their shift after spending many happy hours breaking down the doors and jaws of innocent citizens, they’ll just get more and more abusive.
That’s good to know. I hadn’t read about that.
Sadly, I know what you mean. But not all cops are bad. I used to think it was the 5% of bad actors that gave the other 95% a bad name. Now I wonder whether the proportions should be reversed (not literally, of course, but it does seem like many LEOs have forgotten who they are supposed to serve.)
It’s worth noting it’s very difficult to prove officer malfeasance if they’ve destroyed the evidence. Make destruction of evidence by jackboots a crime all you want, and cell phone cameras will continue to be destroyed under the jackboots.
Technology is helping. There are apps available to automatically upload photos and videos to the cloud real-time. The last thing on the video will be the cop as he’s smashing the phone.
You act like this lady was a blooming idiot, obviously she is highly functioning and knows most right from wrong albeit probable from a 5th graders level. But my kids knew spitting was wrong at age 2 if not sooner. Being special does not mean you can do whatever you please w/ immunity.
That said, for the third time I will mention that I did NOT see a spit for anyone in the video. I did not even see a flinch from the officer which would of been a reaction to a spit. I am just stating what I would of done if such a scenario happened to me. I am not a police officer and have never played one on tv. I would like to see the unedited version of the video.
Other observations: If it came down to it, that lady officer would of been absolutely useless in helping handcuff the lady punched. Sometimes I think male officers have too much put on them when they have to get physical and lady officers are not much help. (Yes I am guilty of some PR crime here, sue me).
Not if autoplay is not allowed.
/sarc.......
Here’s a question, out of the blue. What would you do if a cop pushed you? Put his hand on your chest and shoved until you were on the ground. Would you get up?
Or say, he grabbed you by the wrist and started dragging you? Would you hit him? Would you hit him if he wasn’t a cop, just another little person?
According to the law these days, if you resisted either of these assaults the cop would be seen as within his rights to beat your face until it looked like hamburger.
He’s drinking Memosas and beer.
It’s Sunday and game day.
The cop clearly knew that. But he threatened the guy with a search for warrants. Intimidation was the order of the day.
Then bandwidth still gets sucked up by the sample picture. I like having just the links, and if John ever enables video embedding I’m gone from FR.
If you are liable to beat somebody almost to death for spitting on you, then you should never be allowed near a position of authority. Period.
Me too. But beer. Soon.
Yes. Now he may not be Harvard. He may not be post-American. He may not be"the next Messiah."
But he plainly knows duty and honor, love of country, and right from wrong.
Imagine how much better off we would be after five years with him sitting in the White House.
what is special needs about the woman who got punched?...She needed another Big Mac.

The coward db cop used his fist. You use words.
