I grew up in Eugene and the closest team was the Niners before the Seagulls. The Niners won with tons of Duck players and have never liked the Hawks. Just always been a niner fan.
Yes the nerves thing, I am always telling my wife to calm down it is just a play. When you said you had to wash the floor it reminded me of her. Should be two great games today, but I expect the Niners will pull it out on defense and Pats with Blount (Duck) to be unstoppable again.
F the N has a panel of one from the NYT, one from the LAT, and one from the WP. Now do you suppose they were all unbiased on the issues of the day? The answer would be a resounding H____ no. I guess I didn’t have to watch.

I really like you a lot, bray; but I hope you are totally wrong on the 49ers pulling it out. I really hope the Hawks defense stops Kaepernick - - don’t want to see him kissing his tatooed biceps today (ugh!).
May the best teams win (hopefully, Hawks, and, given I grew up in Denver, gotta go with Manning and the Broncos).

Recent Benghazi report, Tom Donilon, former national security adviser says shows response was adequate. [Must think people are stupid, that phone call for help came in at 3:42 pm, we need to know that time line in the chain of custody of that information because of the response, and where the story about the film comes from.]
Host Bob Schieffer than advises Angela Mercle, German Leader, to stay off the cell phone if she doesn’t want to be spied on. [Why doesn’t host Schieffer offer some advice for those serving overseas in places like Benghazi who call for help, Schieffer should be a more informed host, but you just know CBS prefers to have a no-brainer and/or obstructionist host to further a Democrat State Run Entity.]

I agree! Their trying to get this out now (that might have been part of Gates’ motive for releasing the book now) so that they can use the old Clintoon trick of “that’s old news and has already been covered”. That said, IF the Republicans are smart (I know big IF) they can run ads with the 4 dead and Hillary! saying “What difference does it make”.
I think it was on this thread last week that I said that it wouldn’t surprise me at all if she doesn’t run. I’m really thinking she won’t - - she didn’t look well in the last picture. It also wouldn’t surprise me if Moochelle did - -she has about the same # of qualifications (or lack thereof) that her hubby did/does. G*d help us!

When you get somebody dead of a spinal fracture, it’s usually down around the 3rd or 4th CV and involves enough displacement to get spinal cord damage.

A few weeks ago, Fish had a comment about one of her Church Choir members who is a Democrat. While Fish defined this individual as “nice” - How do conservatives (Limited G’ment) types deal with a committed communist
While this individual may be “nice” in an interpersonal setting, their voting causes evil to overcome us all. This Communist belief system / Faith really, is hard to turn.
My attitude of not being nice to these people does not work in turning these communist freaks into responsible Americans.
Getting the Base out to vote in the primaries is important. But after that how do we, in everyday life, turn / educate / convince these people of their destructive faith in having someone else solve their problems for them is destroying America. And in the process enslaving all of us?
As you say telephoning is useless. I did it the last cycle and its actually discouraging from a conservative standpoint. People either don't answer are pissed that you called or tell you they already voted in early voting. Knocking on the right doors is a stoke of genius not surprised you thought of it.
......As There is nothing to their message other than Repubs are angry white men who hate women and minorities. They have already had the Three Pillars establish the stereotype and they simply add TV and radio ads to that message and enjoy the benefits of the 24/7. Repubs can only run commercials which basically say, “No we aren’t” as they attempt to combat the already established message.
We can do much better on commercials and since this is something I have done exstensively and did study in college I will comment on.
If we were to do an obamacare commercial it could be done with ease.
All we have to do is take the first 30 seconds to show all the lies; you can keep your doctor,your existing policy, your policy won't cost more,millions losing great coverage for mediocre more expensive coverage. etc., etc. and then in the last 30 seconds show how to improve it.
To correct obamacare just get rid of it! Go back to what we had. Add in some employer write-offs for offering to employees and many other "incentives" not fines,get the govt. out of the health care business,let doctors write the program, more tort reform,lots of things could cure the current "small" need for help in health care using the free market system.
An obamacare 60 second spot is very doable.
The national part of the GOP may not have the guts to go up against zerocare but other areas of the country undoubtedly will. My take is leadership in the GOP has been so poor that many have and are going their own way as we do here by funding individual candidates not the party. If they ever do get it we may give them the time of day but not so far.
