Andrew Cuomo: Pro-Life People “Have No Place in the State of New York”
Life News ^ | January 17, 2014 | Steven Ertelt

Posted on 01/17/2014 7:36:38 PM PST by NYer

Governor Andrew Cuomo of New York has already proven himself to be one of the most pro-abortion politicians in the country. He’s repeatedly pushed a bill that would make the state that has some of the highest abortion rates in the nation further down the road of unlimited abortions.

Now, Cuomo has said that pro-life people have no business living in the state. If the governor has any interest in pursuing national office with a potential Democratic presidential campaign, he’s definitely lost the majority of the country that appreciates the right to life of unborn babies.

But maybe Cuomo is doing the rest of the nation a favor. If he alienates enough pro-lifers, who move elsewhere, the state will continue to see its influence wane — as it further loses more Congressional seats to southern and western states as conservative New Yorkers look for more welcoming places to live.

As reported today:

Governor Cuomo is issuing a warning to what he refers to as the more conservative arm of the Republican party – you’re not welcome in the state of New York.

Moderate Republicans, or those most willing to capitulate to Cuomo’s own extreme agenda, still have the welcome mat rolled out.

Here’s Cuomo during a Friday morning conversation on the Capitol Pressroom (H/t Times Union):

You have a schism within the Republican Party. … They’re searching to define their soul, that’s what’s going on. Is the Republican party in this state a moderate party or is it an extreme conservative party? That’s what they’re trying to figure out. It’s a mirror of what’s going on in Washington. The gridlock in Washington is less about Democrats and Republicans. It’s more about extreme Republicans versus moderate Republicans.

… You’re seeing that play out in New York. … The Republican Party candidates are running against the SAFE Act — it was voted for by moderate Republicans who run the Senate! Their problem is not me and the Democrats; their problem is themselves. Who are they? Are they these extreme conservatives who are right-to-life, pro-assault-weapon, anti-gay? Is that who they are? Because if that’s who they are and they’re the extreme conservatives, they have no place in the state of New York, because that’s not who New Yorkers are.

If they’re moderate Republicans like in the Senate right now, who control the Senate — moderate Republicans have a place in their state. George Pataki was governor of this state as a moderate Republican; but not what you’re hearing from them on the far right.”

Cuomo has made a career of referring to anyone that opposes his agenda as “extreme” while simultaneously referring to that agenda as “common sense.”

Hebrews is a 4 course meal that describes the sin of man, the giving of the law to raise consciousness of sin, the inadequacy of the law and of animal sacrifices to cleanse our sin, the description of the priestly order of Aaron and the Levites compared and contrasted with the priestly order of Melchezidek of which Christ belonged, the description of Christ being that perfect final sacrifice, the judgement of those outside of Christ as being judged by the law signified by Mount Sinai as opposed to those who are in Christ Jesus (who are saved from the restrictions and condenmnation of the Law) (whose “final rest” is at Mount Zion),and the importance of staying in Grace.

The whole book describes the spiritual origin of our faith and what we have been saved and released from.

“The wickedness is a symptom of an issue of eternal dimensions. I don’t want a civic Christ to save public morals. I want an “everything” Christ to save souls to heaven, and if public morals improve as a result (and I’d hope they would)... it will be a wonderful testimony to God’s grace.”

True...after all God raises up and puts down the nations. Psalms 2 describes the various rulers taking “council together “through-out history to conspire against God and His anointed...and don’t think they aren’t doing it in this day and age as well. The current rulers and the secret elites sneer at God and his children. Psalm 2 says God will dash them like a “potter’s vessel”. Yet we see the plea to the individual in Psalm 2...”Kiss the son, lest you be destroyed before he has gotten just a little angry!”

God is our first country; Christians can’t help our currently hapless nation until we fully remember and understand that!

What you say is true, but it will be a tempered rejoicing...for “God hates the death of the wicked!”

We have crossed a major rubicon of morality when a US State Governor outright proclaims that within their legal jurisdiction unborn children are not safe.

That and then some. What too many Americans do not understand is the grave nature of such announcements. There have been many many public officials documented among the threads of FR denouncing various and sundry groups of citizens as threats and people to be shunned if not attacked. What is not being realized is that those officials, acting in their official capacity under the color of their office are not just blowing off steam, stating opinion or spouting rhetoric, they are stating a position of official policy. Policy does not necessarily need legislation, the vote & passage by a legislature, a council or commission - it can be as simple as a statement made on record, to the public at large. These sort of announcements, for lack of a better description, are at minimum, public notice to a significant part of the American population that they are (or are to be) excluded from the rest of this nation. In so doing, Cuomo and others like him are joining the monsters of human history.

“Bull Cuomo” lays down the law.

Seriously, if conservatives and patriots could find the right protagonist sort of like our Martin Luther King type figure, this could make Cuomo look like Bull Connor back in Birmingham with the dogs and water cannon.

And these same people don’t want to lawfully execute murderers convicted by a jury of their peers, but they’ll murder babies all day long. Their fringe is laying the groundwork for murdering born babies, just like they’re laying the groundwork for “tolerance” of pedophiles.

Leftism, by definition, is the bi-polar & radical opposite of the Constitution.

So from their perspective, anyone who embraces the Constitution is always on the “far right”.

As Davey Crockett said, “You may all go to hell, but I will go to Texas.” Proud to say I’m a New Yorker by birth, Texan by the grace of God.

Roman Catholics, Russian Orthodox, Mormons, and many others are Pro-Life? Do they belong in New York? This whole question reminds me of the debate in the 1850s and 60s over slavery. People got passionate about it. If you believed African-Americans were people you wanted freedom. If you thought they were childlike and couldn’t handle it—you were in favor of slavery and control. The issue here is when is a person a person? Is it at Conception as pro-Life people hold, at Birth as many believe or at age one as a few believe. If you think abortion is murder—how can you be anything but prolife? Is it right to kill one year olds? Or babies born alive in an Abortion mill? Its a hard question on many levels that brings out passion.

.....And no doubt that those who do put their faith in the King of Kings, Christ Jesus until he returns in full glory, will have to suffer for their faith in HIM.

Isn’t Cuomo the Homo a Catholic? If so, why haven’t measures been taken to excommunicate?
