The National Security Agency has collected almost 200 million text messages a day from across the globe, using them to extract data including location, contact networks and credit card details, according to top-secret documents.
The untargeted collection and storage of SMS messages including their contacts is revealed in a joint investigation between the Guardian and the UKs Channel 4 News based on material provided by NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden.
The documents also reveal the UK spy agency GCHQ has made use of the NSA database to search the metadata of untargeted and unwarranted communications belonging to people in the UK.

Do the liberals still think he’s a bad guy?...guessing not with Obamie bending them over with Obamacare taking 1/3 of their check or more
My hope is the NSA can read my mind....
To wit: I’ve given up wearing my Tin Foil Cap...
If they could I would be in prison for life..

Seems the only course is to go back to face to face communications, pay phones, meetings in the middle of a public park, postal mail, paying with cash, etc.
.
All Postal mail is photographed on both the front, and back side.
All phone calls are recorded; all email, text messages, contacts in your electronic devices, all credit card and ALL other financial transactions, all travel plans are recorded by NSA. Even though your cell phone is turned off, it is still a microphone and NSA can listen while you talk to your wife, or dog in the privacy of your home.
N.S.A. Devises Radio Pathway Into Computers:
The NSA has been intercepting machines (shipped by mail, FedEx, UPS) and moding them before they are delivered to the customer.

Earlier this week I posted a picture of Popcorn on a Christie trouble thread.
Yesterday they closed the intersection next to the office where I work in Tennessee,.
I suspect payback.
Lucy, read my post again. Did I refer to anything electronic or digital? Pay phones (if any exist anymore) are public, and even if the calls are recorded, one of the parties is not easily identified unless the conversation leaves clues. Meeting someone in the park is not exactly modern communications technology. Paying with cash is not the same as paying with credit/debit cards.
You are not incorrect, but I think you missed my original point.
to all the folks that think this is just so much, need to know or some other “good idea” that is a little wrong - Do you think they are not sharing over coffee breaks the sex messages from kids and adults? The 4 major guys who where supposed to follow that Maddof hustler spent over 2 hours a day on porn sites. I bet a real study would find that’s why this “grabbing everything” became so common - not terror but entertainment.!!!! Someone has to start cleaning up our government!!!
For years now, when I talk on the phone to friends or family I will say, "Obama Bombing!" and the person I am talking to says, "Explosive Diarrhea!" Then we continue our conversation as if we didn't interrupt ourselves.
"FU NSA" would be a neat way to mimic Alinsky's flushing all the toilets all at once.
Hey, them NSA guys could probably use a good laugh, or at least the ones who really are on our side.
I agree, because when someone doesn’t have a sense of humor, he/she is most likely whacked.
