The Syrian Improvised Chemical Munitions that Were Used in the August 21, Nerve Agent Attack in Damascus Have a Range of About 2 Kilometers.
The UN Independent Assessment of the Range of the Chemical Munition Is in Exact Agreement with Our Findings.
This Indicates That These Munitions Could Not Possibly Have Been Fired at East Ghouta from the Heart, or from the Eastern Edge, of the Syrian Government Controlled Area Shown in the Intelligence Map Published by the White House on August 30, 2013.
This mistaken Intelligence Could Have Led to an Unjustified US Military Action Based on False Intelligence.
A Proper Vetting of the Fact That the Munition Was of Such Short Range Would Have Led to a Completely Different Assessment of the Situation from the Gathered Data.
Whatever the Reasons for the Egregious Errors in the Intelligence, the Source of These Errors Needs to Be Explained.
If the Source of These Errors Is Not Identified, the Procedures that Led to this Intelligence Failure Will Go Uncorrected, and the Chances of a Future Policy Disaster Will Grow With Certainty.

just wow
This is this type of intelligence report: tell me what I want to hear and I will not question what you say. Der leader wanted a Reichstag burning so someone gave him the matchbook that was used to start it.
Comimg from MIT, not necesarily a bastion of right wing patriotism .. I’d be cautios how I digest this information
As was always suspected, this was the Free Syrian Army terrorists trying to draw the US into eradicating Assad for their Caliphate. Ya know, John McCain’s buddies.
Theodore Postol is a Flat Earth lefty who has been challenging the efficacy of missile defense for decades even in the face of evidence that it does work. I’m agnostic as to what the Syrian government did or did not do, but this report won’t shed any light on the subject, given the co-author’s tendency to ignore the facts when it suits him. I’m also of the view that the Syrian regime is the lesser of two evils, but this “report” is probably a complete waste of bandwidth, if you’re interested in the facts.
Nothing that eminates from our government disguised as information can be trusted. The facts and truth comes out in drips. They even have “Smokey The Bear” telling US 9 out of 10 forest fires are started by people,.
Good point about MIT, but this says the Regime is wrong, if I’m reading it correctly.
“Theodore Postol is a Flat Earth lefty who has been challenging the efficacy of missile defense for decades even in the face of evidence that it does work. “
Looks like you’re right. Thanks for the tip.
Also noticed something in this org’s other writings that was dismissive of the threat from Iran.
Another obamaroid lie!
“Faulty US Technical Intelligence”.......Really?
There is no end to the phont “possibilities” the doumbo people will dream up to avoid the truth.
IMO, Benghazi was like a drug deal gone bad and when/if the real truth ever comes out we will find that odumbo and hitlary are both up to their necks in the cover up.
But don't worry. He still has time to start a war between Israel and Iran, or get us involved in Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, Libya or any number of other places. Then you'll see a parade of 'rats turned hawks who support bammy and have donned the trappings of patriotism...
There has been NO intelligence.
The US gov’t armed al Qaeda after the 911 Atrocities
and ignored warning as they created the Boston Atrocity
and have entered the USA through the porous borders.
I think this is why they don't want old guys in the military .... we'd just say "phuque it" and shoot everything in sight.
LOL. Luckily, Obama shows no willingness to get involved (in a major way) with Syria.
Shortly after the attack, some analysts said they doubted if the identified rockets could have carried enough nerve agent to have caused the mass casualties. Mr. Lloyd and Dr. Postol say their analysis explains how the misidentification of a central rocket part resulted in the excessively small payload estimates.

Postol says that while he cannot say what the performance of Iron Dome was in Operation Pillar of Defence, “all the available evidence unambiguously indicates a drastically lower level of performance than the 84% claimed by the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF).”
