President Barack Obama will make a personnel announcement at the White House on Wednesday afternoon, according to the White House.
The announcement is scheduled for 3:40 p.m. ET in the South Court Auditorium. No further details were provided.
My money is on Carney.

The POTUS would not hold a press conference for a low level personnel change. At least a cabinet level I would say —
unless he just likes to get in front of the camera and hear himself talk, he would be demeaning himself and the office to hold a conference on a minor matter — oh well . . .

My first thought as well, but since that would make sense probably someone else is leaving.
