The FBI is not planning to file criminal charges involving the Internal Revenue Service's extra scrutiny of the Tea Party and other conservative groups, the Wall Street Journal reported on Monday, citing law enforcement officials.
The newspaper quoted officials as saying that investigators probing the IRS actions, which unleashed a political furor in Washington, did not uncover the type of political bias or "enemy hunting" that would constitute a criminal violation. The evidence showed a mismanaged agency enforcing rules it did not understand on applications for tax exemptions, the Journal reported.
The case is still under investigation, but criminal charges were unlikely unless unexpected evidence emerged, officials familiar with the probe told the paper.
A Justice Department spokesman declined to comment when queried by Reuters.

I guess anybody can do anything...nobody is accountable, laws are meaningless, enforcement is non-existent...drip, drip, drip...(tagline).
The day the IRS came into existence a century ago, the US became a slave state.
Frank Herbert (author of the Dune series)wrote the following:
“Power attracts the corruptible. Absolute power attracts the absolutely corruptible. This is the danger of entrenched bureaucracy to its subject population. Even the spoils systems are preferable because levels of tolerance are lower and the corrupt can be thrown out periodically. Entrenched bureaucracy seldom can be touched short of violence. Beware when Civil Service and Military join hands.”
I can’t see that word of it is wrong, especially in this IRS scandal.
When asked for a comment on the I.R.S. vs Tea Party scandal House Speaker John Boehner stated “ Don’t think we’re not going to do anything about this! I sent a sternly worded letter of caution to Attorney General Holder that this harassment against the Tea Party better not be exposed again or we may politely ask President Obama to say he didn’t know anything about it.” The Speaker then departed for a planned previously lunch reception with the K street firm Sells M Outte.
We must hope that the military is not homogeneous. We must hope the real warriors have not been corrupted by those that strut around flashing their medals
Actually, the DOJ effort is intended to provide words to the propagands organs to deflect the imminent S@%# Storm from congressman Issa.
The DOJ announcement is a panic indicator. They know the terrible consequences soon to be.
We know the place, but we do not know the time for the battle. The place is Issa’s hearing room. The battle that destroys them will be at the time and place of Issa’s choosing.
Being a “real warrior” does not make one automatically believing in freedom. The Nazis and the Imperial Japanese had a lot of “real warriors.”
A lot of “real warriors” have historically fought for bad causes, probably more than have fought for good causes. My hope is that most of our “real warriors” take their pledge to defend and protect the Constitution seriously.
An effort to keep dumBO from having to issue pardons.
I am so sick of this Kabuki theater they put on - it's insulting.
WE know they're yankin' our chains - so just stop already.
Current Communist Goals (1963)
15. Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.
17. Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers' associations. Put the party line in textbooks.
28. Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the principle of "separation of church and state."
29. Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis.
30. Discredit the American Founding Fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the "common man."
35. Discredit and eventually dismantle the FBI.
