FTA:
In a column in Britain’s the Guardian headlined “Forget funeral selfies. What are the ethics of tweeting a terminal illness?,” Emma Keller questioned Adams’s copious self-disclosure and Keller’s own voyeuristic fascination with it last Wednesday: “Should there be boundaries in this kind of experience?” she wrote. “Is there such a thing as TMI? Are her tweets a grim equivalent of deathbed selfies, one step further than funeral selfies? Why am I so obsessed?”

The reaction was swift — and angry.

Well, one thing for sure. That liberals are a compassionate, caring, concerned specie of human being is every bit the lie as is everything else they say, espouse.

Nothing I have heard about Keller would suggest he is anything but an asshole.

Attacking the morals and ethics of critics seem to be their only remaining weapon. They attacked Gates’ memoir the same way.

This cancer patient is just the first in a wave that will encompass all of those who have the misfortune to become ill while we have socialized medicine. Already I’m hearing “The problem is they let private profit seeking companies run it when the government should be running it.”

Lord save us. (What, we have to save ourselves?!)

Bill is just worried that Adams’ tweets will undermine the death panels and the NYT cannot editorially stand for that.

Sure...all of you cancer patients, take this pain pill, drop your laundry, and head for the “showers”.

More dignified and much more efficient, eh Mr. Heller?

The National Socialists began using the “Showers” because it was more humane and less expensive than wasting ammunition shooting the undesirables in the back of the head.

These lefty clowns were wondering how appropriate it’s was for this woman’s story to be on twitter. Why do these clowns read it? Read something else if it bothers you.

I personally don’t DO social networking. I believe it is a sure way to get oneself unwanted attention. Though I assume the author used it as a blog and good for her

From further down in the article.....:::”“There, more routinely than in the United States, patients are offered the option of being unplugged from everything except pain killers and allowed to slip peacefully from life,” he wrote. “His death seemed to me a humane and honorable alternative to the frantic medical trench warfare that often makes an expensive misery of death in America.”.....spoken like a true liberal. except for Keller’s wife who apparently had a double masectomy. I’m sure they would spare no expense for Mrs. Keller’s treatments

I have 2 family members with cancer. They can say and do anything they want. I will not question, because it is not me that is suffering what they suffer.

Here is the patient's website right here. There are many cancer patients like her blogging about their experiences. These kinds of blogs help other patients because they detail how they are surviving.

So, the Kellers need to back off. This woman has three children, the youngest just 7 years old. She is not going to throw in the towel and give up. And, these days, a patient can live with Stage 4 cancer for many years (depending on certain factors).

The Kellers are vile and callous people.

While I disagree and disdain their views on this, I cannot begrudge people the right to discuss. It’s good to be open rather than shut down in potentially important issues. When the shoe is on the other foot, we say the same sort of things. We disparage people who love Obamacare, or claim they will benefit from it.
