Following the passage of a lead ammunition ban and a plethora of new gun control laws in 2013, California Democrats now say they will push for "comprehensive" background checks on all ammunition purchases in the state.
According to The Washington Post, CA State Senator Kevin de Leon (D) said, "Anyone can walk into any gun store, a bait and tackle store, and purchase all the ammunition they want to, no questions asked."
He said it ought not be so: "The ammunition is the fuel that feeds the violence. The gun itself, the hand gun or long gun or the high-powered weapon is the delivery device. The gas, the fuel, is the ammunition, and no one knows who buys it."
As Breitbart News reported on December 28, "comprehensive" background checks on gun purchases in CA ended private gun sales and led to a firearm registry in that state. Confiscation laws are also in place.

***I’d say no-fault divorce, an intentional diminishment of the whole idea of shame, classism, the welfare state, and a few other things are the fuel that feeds the violence.***
-Blasphemy! CNN tells me if we get rid of all the guns, all our problems be solved and everyone will live in a perfect utopia of peace & love for all eternity...Why would they lie?
Born and raised Californio now living in Texas. I couldn't agree more.
Another law will prevent crime just as well as all the other anti-gun laws have.
Solution: There will be a lot of shops opening on the CA-NV border selling ammo to Californians with no questions asked for hard cash.
If only they would apply the same standards to those seeking public office like POTUS.
And a money restriction!
Sounds good to me !
gotta find me a Squirrel,,,
Protest Warriors,,,
ah, the good ole days!
How about a “comprehensive background checks” of our president, voters, welfare recipients, Social Security disability payments, unemployment benefits, etc, etc?????????
Anyone who lived in California back in the 60s and 70s knows that many people moved there from other states to escape what they saw as stodgy, oppressive Nanny State laws.
California was then the wide open state where freedom from government control and domination was a big attraction
And the real irony is that native Californians, like me who enjoyed that great freedom, keep getting blamed for the nanny state we have here now which in reality was caused by those outsiders moving here and voting Democrat. Same thing is happening to Colorado.
Big Red Badger, since I escaped from NYC to Etowah County, Alabama, its like the wind has ignored my sails, the steam has gone off, and the fire in my belly has gone out. I’m not sure if it is a coincidence of my 58 years or the 180 degree difference from Brooklyn and The Deep South.
The only stress I have left is what my son and daughter and my grandsons from both of them will face, and steadily I am fading away when I should be helping them with all my heart and a clear mind.
I turned59 and have families here in so cal as well,,,
cut and run??
I don’t Know how it will finish, just trust the Finisher.
And here comes the gun and ammo surge of 2014!
Buy RGR and OLN.
So you're up for murdering millions of Conservatives who happen to live and work here?
Same thing is happening throughout the south too.
Virginia and North Carolina, once solidly conservative, have probably been irretrievably lost, Florida is close, if not already there.
And northern liberals continue to flood south as they abandon the liberal cess-pits they have created in states like New York and Massachusetts.
Once settled in as new residents in a southern state the first thing they do is begin the work of recreating the leftist hell-holes they just ran from up north.
I wouldn’t say cut and run, unless you fully scout ahead while fully weighing the pros and cons for a long enough time to be able to rationalize what a culture shock that anywhere not fully familiar to you will be.
In my case, for instance:
When I arrived in Alabama from NYC, it was so quiet that I could hear my blood coursing through my body. You’d think it was a good thing to be removed from the stress and cacophony of NYC, but for me the lack of all stress is killing me faster!
Sorry for the delay in responding...my posts are under review as I am new here, so I cannot respond back to you in real time.
Anyway, there are many caveats and consequences of leaving where you are for cheaper and safer places. Think Henry Hill at the end in Goodfellas with the ketchup and egg noodles.
Just like that silly old Adolph Hitler, gassing all them Juden.
