Why John Roberts (Likely) Is Protecting Obamacare

On Monday, without comment (because he could not make a coherent one), Chief Justice John Roberts denied a request by the Association of American Physicians & Surgeons and the Alliance for Natural Health USA for a stay in the implementation of Obamacare. The groups had made their application last Friday, arguing that since the bill had been declared a tax by the Supreme Court (with Justice Roberts himself the deciding vote), and it had originated in the Senate (the Constitution says revenue bills may not originate), the law was therefore unconstitutional; and implementation of Obamacare should at least be stayed pending further examination.

While there are other minor issues attached to the application that were also not addressed, the truth of the matter is clear: John Roberts will never do anything to derail Obamacare, no matter what arguments against it are brought before him.

There is very good reason to believe that regardless of the media’s skillful smothering of the story, John Roberts is being blackmailed to make certain Obamacare never falls in a Supreme Court case. The basis of this charge surrounds the fact that a series of strange (and probably felonious) acts are attached to the adoption of his two children.

obamacare was enacted illegally IMO and it has been protected illegally....

the justices can interpret whatever they want or are demanded....

the law is an ass....because language is an ass...."is" can be anything at all.....

anyway, I'm tired of rulings being explained away because of the constitution or laws or past rulings etc as if any of that means anything...the judges rule whatever they want anyday of the week, and never answer for it.....

Roberts is NOT being blackmailed. Turn off that idiot box and stop reading penny dreadfuls about the cosa nostra. Is the adoption story true? If yes, then no overt blackmailing is ever required. Roberts CAN be blackmailed, D’UH. He’s in effect blackmailing hisself.

This post is deceptive because Judge Roberts has done no such thing.

All he has done is refused to put a stay on ObamaCare to shut it down while pending litigation filed by Physicians and Surgeons works it's way through the courts.

The Physicians and Surgeons have active litigation in place, but it is not clear that the circumstances of their case warrants a stay, so a stay could be premature.

The reality is that the American people voted twice for the people who forced this legislation and will be forced to live with it until such time as it is repealed or overturned.

The best way to get rid of ObamaCare is to allow people live with the consequences of it and of their actions.

Yes Supreme Court Justices are subject to impeachment for misbehavior. Having illegal adopted children might just qualify as misbehavior for a justice of the supreme court.

Thank you for bringing some sense to this particular thread.

Staying the law while being challenged first in the DC Circuit was a hopeful move without a guaranteed positive procedural outcome.

It might have worked and one would have been a fool not to have at least tried it as AAPS did.

The case is not dead. According this newswire arguments were entered on Friday.

The other angle is standing: Someone will have to pay the tax and go through procedure. That's the way it works.

Obama loves all the talk and postings around here and at the Western Center for Journalism blog about impeaching and throwing out Roberts. He plays his opposition like a fiddle.

I am no fan of Roberts for what he did, but I am holding fire, and won't get roped.

Why don't people around here concentrate more on getting rid of Obama instead?

The two are not mutually exclusive. Roberts is probably gay, married a beard, and adopted children for the same reason, as cover for being gay. And to keep his wife happy and busy with kids, as who knows how well he could “perform” in the sack with a woman. He didn’t want his career and a potential Supreme Court nomination one day ruined by being outed. He obviously wanted nice Irish kids; no third world adoptees for him. Wouldn’t fit his image of Mr. All American guy.

I believe it was the shady adoption though, that Obama held over him. And/or, maybe Obama’s own gay friends (like Reggie Love, and his gay Chicago friends) may have heard via the gay grapevine that John Roberts was one of them. I have believed from the gitgo that Roberts was being blackmailed. There were rumors long ago about his potential illegal adoptions and his possibly being gay. It was all hushed up. Too bad. If it all would have come out at the time of his nomination, it could have saved us all from Obamacare.
