Not so reasonable sounding after all. Tittering like school children who just heard someone say poop isnt exactly fairly meeting on common ground now is it? I have *chortle* no problem *snicker* with anyones *giggle* religion *nelsonmuntz*.
This is the typical attitude of the enlightened ones when speaking down to the minions of mean spirited deities. They say we can all just get along, but in practice, what they mean is shut up and stand still, were trying to point at you and laugh

That’s exactly what it is. Meryl Streep, who has probably never set foot on a working farm, was regarded as some kind of expert [note: again, by leftists] because she made some vaguely farm-related movie. Bill Nye has played a scientist on TV, and is now regarded as a scientific expert by leftists who know noting about science at all.

A generation of lib kids grew up watching Bill Nye on PBS.
To them, his “scientific credentials” are unimpeachable.
To the rest of us—Meh!

Bill Nye is a jerk, a moron, and a know nothing. So, a perfect spokesman for left-wing causes. You can add to that list actor. He's appeared in a couple of TV shows. He knows how to act. Says a lot.

“it’s not about the science, it’s about the partisan political jabs.”
Exactly.
This whole “debate” is a big sham. It’s never about science.

Love these “scientists” who snickers at others all the while voicing their concern about climate change.

I would then have to add that same specialty to Al Sharpton's CV. But wearing a white lab coat on a TV program doesn't make him a scientist any more than it makes him an actor.
By the way, why did Al Sharpton simply not have the evolution/creationism debate with himself? He's as much a Christian minister as Bill Nye is a scientist. And he can wear the white jacket, too...

Well, Mr. Wizard, Don Herbert, was a B-24 pilot in WWII, I'd say he would own Bill Nye by the middle of the 2nd round. BTW, Bill Nye has cooties!
Nye went to Sidwell Friends, IIRC, they are Quakers and although they are entitled to their beliefs, my opinion, they tend to be a bunch of space cadets.

I have to admit, I used to love his science videos for my 4th graders because they reinforced my lessons. He had a huge library of videos and they were very informative and held their attention, and the kids remembered the material. I never saw anything on them that I objected to, but I stayed away from anything having to do with ecology.
