First of all, nobody has produced any evidence that he knew beforehand. But, even if he didn't, he still surrounded himself with morons.

But that was not my point anyway. My point is that conservatives, by joining in the already insanely exaggerated response to this, are stoking the fire that will burn all Republican or Tea Party candidates in the future. They are trying to solidify the idea that Republicans will screw the people and only liberal Democrats can save them.

We are validating their over reaction and retroactively approving their non-reaction to the far bigger scandals on their side of the aisle.

I don't give a crap about Christie's fatass, but I don't think we should be gleefully endorsing their worldview to our own long term detriment.

I wish he would really take responsibility and resign.

If someone commits robbery, the police don't say we can't investigate the crime because someone committed murder and that's far more important.

Someone doesn't take the 5th because there isn't anything to investigate. Christie should have found out what was going on at the very least. Instead he kept making fun of the scandal. This has been going on for months now. He could have already found out what was going on at the bridge and what were the details of the so called traffic study. Instead he claims ignorance and he says he didn't ask Bridget why she lied because he wasn't interested by the time he fired her.
