House Speaker John Boehner says he believes Chris Christie remains a serious contender for the Republican 2016 presidential nomination, despite the traffic jam scandal engulfing the New Jersey governor.
Reporters asked Boehner about Christie's problems on Thursday, even as the governor was holding a news conference in Trenton, N.J.

The more you ‘eff’ up the more qualified you are - instant resume enhancement.
In your dreams, Baby Boehner. Christie’s criminality makes him a NON-contender and may be an answer to Tea Party prayers.
"Won't you please, PLEASE, have pity on my old friend and partner in pork, Chris Christie?"
” Chris Christie remains a serious contender for the Republican 2016 presidential nomination...
So says John Boehner.
Typical of Boehner - one RINO trying to protect another.
GOPe tears actually taste sweeter than RAT tears these days. MORE!
Why can’t they get rid of Boehner as Speaker? Christie being vindictive, at the very least having an environment in which vindictive creeps set the tone IS prohibitive.
In that case then, look for four more years of Democrats. Assuming that there is an election in 2016, which I have yet to be convinced.
Notice how the RATS didn’t throw Christie under the bus until the day AFTER he signed the NJ Amnesty bill? A lesson for Boehner and his Amnesty dreams...
Jesus. Boehner is slightly to the left of McCain.
Let’s nominate ANOTHER squishy moderate Republican. After the success of McCain and Romney, what could possibly go wrong?
No, Boehner, he doesn't. Time to get to work making Jeb your GOPe poster boy.
What a suck up.
Now I know Cripy’s crisped. Thank goodness!
Crispy is such a contender he came in 31 out of 32 right in front of Jeb Bush at CPAC last year.
I have not heard one person I know even mention him as a choice for 2016. He has no chance in the South. I personally dislike the guy’s personality as well as disagree with his political positions. I don’t think he’s qualified to be President. I would not vote for him any more than I would vote for Hillary. I’m not shocked to find out he is so petty he blocked traffic to get back at someone. Not even suprised.
Pelosi and Boehner... that’s the best these “two parties” can come up with? Two mental defectives? Reid, McCain? Ha. The Uniparty must go.
Crush them. More Uniparty tears!
It possibly may be good if Christie runs for Pres if Jeb Bush runs too so that they split RINO votes in the primaries.
