Utah said Wednesday it will not recognize more than 1,000 gay marriages that took place between when a judge allowed gay weddings last month and a US Supreme Court ruling this week suspending them again.
A letter by Utah governor Gary Herbert to officials said the western US state -- which had opposed the district court ruling opening the way for gay weddings -- must obey the top US federal court's decision freezing them again.
The Supreme Court on Monday temporarily blocked gay marriages, after Utah filed an emergency request to stay the judge's ruling, which struck down as unconstitutional a state law banning same-sex marriage.

BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA,good laugh. thanks
I was going to use BUWHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! myself but felt celebratory enough without it. Oh, the inhumanity!!
God bless Utah!
Well here’s another fine mess the Supreme Court has started by legislating social policy. Judges don’t want to be elected legislators, the simply want the power of dictators as they impose their policies on the American people.
I don used up a years supply of Schadenfreude on the global warmers stuck in the Antarctic ice obama self.
That’s quite funny in its own right. Yeah, you, like the rest of us, needed a bit more time for our brains to rengenerate. Bur Hey, I’ll take too much of a good thing any time!
Just never recognize them. ever.
A state should be able to deport openly homosexuals to another state which wants them - like California or New York.
Sounds like there are some reasonable folks in Utah— too bad they can’t influence Colorado in this matter a little more.
But hey— here in Colorado they can have civil unions—and they can have a judge order a Bake shop owner sell them a “wedding “ cake even though the State Constitution does not recognize same sex “marriage” and the Judges violate our State Constitution and the US Constitution (including the 13th Amendment ) but anybody who don’t like the queer politics of Colorado can legally buy dope and smoke it Which is pretty much what the Reprobates were doing in spite of the law anyway
The Impostor should french-kiss him and make him feel better.
This is one for the "Remember This" file, but I'm sure some Lefty will get a judge to proclaim any homo "weddings" before the SCOTUS ruling will have to be allowed. Bummer.
