For the first time in history, a U.S. president has openly proposed altering one of God's fundamental laws. What does that mean for the future of America? Will there be biblical repercussions?
Dr. Robert Jeffress, senior pastor of the 11,000-member First Baptist Church of Dallas, Texas, has received more national media exposure than any other pastor in the past year. His newest book, Perfect Ending (Worthy Publishing, January 2014), focuses on understanding the often-confusing topic of Bible prophecy and explains how Christians can recognize prophetic events that may be taking place in our world—and America's government—today.
According to Jeffress, "Although President Obama is certainly not the Antichrist, his policies are paving the way for the Antichrist." Jeffress describes how our present political leaders are enacting laws and issuing court orders that offend or trespass against God's Law as shown in the Book of Daniel—such as the baker in Colorado who was ordered, against his religious convictions, to create a cake for a gay wedding or face punitive fines. "Even more alarming," says Jeffress, "is the American people are allowing these leaders to proceed relatively unopposed, parallel to what the Bible details will happen in the end times."
"How have Americans managed to elect leaders who seemingly persecute Christians via legislative action in the name of political correctness, usurp freedom of worship, and mandate a healthcare plan that supports abortion?" questions Jeffress, who postulates the answer lies in a nation of apathetic Christians.
As detailed in Perfect Ending, Americans are seeing prophecy unfold right before their eyes. And while there may be time to change the course of events, do Americans have the courage to stand their ground?

We haven’t seen Damascus become a ruined heap, nor restoration of the Temple sacrifice in Jerusalem.

How does he know? Did God tell Jeffress this personally?
I also used to believe that Obama could not be the Ant-Christ. But I've changed my mind in recent years. The power he seems to wield, despite his glaring incompetence and open defiance of the Constitution, is surely supernatural - in a demonic sense. No other president who presided over such debauchery and abject failure could maintain the modest approval of this man, much less get re-elected, without some help.

He’s just like most on the Left - power-hungry enough to trade away freedoms hard-won over centuries of strife for a few, short-term political advantages. To Obama and his puppet masters, it’s all about right now.

Some will remember when he first came to prominence one could research his fathers lineage back to his Arab heritage. That has all been scrubbed from the internet since. I have often wished I had done screen captures of that information. Scripture teaches the antichrist will come from that region. At the time I found that the disappearance of that information interesting.
Well, and also if you look at the descriptions of the aAC OBastard certainly fits the bill —— very, very charismatic, talking about peace and reconciliation for Israel and it’s enemies; constructing an actual peace accord; people following him like the pied piper, some believing he IS the Messiah.
He has not yet fit all of this .. and, as others have said, there are other prophecies not yet fulfilled (Damascus gone - but a nuke or nerve gas attack could do that in minutes; the Temple rebuilt - but, if I recall correctly, that was something Obastard ... err ... the AC was to have ordered).
Still — sure smells a lot like end times and the AC in our midst!
Many Christians, myself included, believe that the rapture will occur before the Great Tribulation, and thus the church will be delivered from a time of great suffering. Well, that is true as far as suffering during the Great Tribulation, but we do not know what kind of suffering Christians will be made to endure before the rapture... for certainly, the world is turning hard against true believers, even here in America. In the days of Noah, godliness was turned on its head, Whatever was considered from God in those days, society counted as evil. Whatever was evil, by God's standard, was counted as normal and good.
Now consider our times... if you're against abortion, if you hold to traditional marriage, if you stand for Judeo-Christian values, you are intolerant by society's standards and a hinderance to "social progress".
The day is now upon us when those who stand in the way of that "social progress" are labeled, "intolerant and therefore unfit for this modern world". As such, it has become acceptable to publicly castigate Christians. Indeed, the Obama administration is legislating against God' standard of righteousness with no concern of offending Christianity or their God. Today, now, is as it was in the days of Noah... hence we cry out Maranatha, come quickly Lord Jesus.
The "take home" from that prophecy update, is, the only help and hope is to pray and be ready... to give thanks and praise and let all your requests be made know to our God and Father... Amen.

And hills/mountains in prophecy tend to be symbolic of kingdoms/nations anyway, and not referring to a specific geographical place.

I have never believed Obama was stupid or a fool. The actions he takes are deliberate and destructive. And almost no one has the guts to oppose him publically. Much of the population continues to be deceived and to adulate him, directly ignoring his evil acts. And now he’s attempting to force a false peace on Israel through his pet ambassador of false peace, the traitor Kerry.
