OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — A satanic group unveiled designs Monday for a 7-foot-tall statue of Satan it wants to put at the Oklahoma state Capitol, where a Ten Commandments monument was placed in 2012.

Fla. rejects request to install Satanic display Associated Press The New York-based Satanic Temple formally submitted its application to a panel that oversees the Capitol grounds, including an artist's rendering that depicts Satan as Baphomet, a goat-headed figure with horns, wings and a long beard that's often used as a symbol of the occult. In the rendering, Satan is sitting in a pentagram-adorned throne with smiling children next to him.
"The monument has been designed to reflect the views of Satanists in Oklahoma City and beyond," temple spokesman Lucien Greaves said in a statement. "The statue will also have a functional purpose as a chair where people of all ages may sit on the lap of Satan for inspiration and contemplation."
The Satanic Temple maintains that the Oklahoma Legislature's decision to authorize a privately funded Ten Commandments monument at the Capitol opened the door for its statue. The Ten Commandments monument was placed on the north steps of the building in 2012, and the Oklahoma chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union has sued to have it removed.

I’m not saying I like it. I’m saying they can’t prevent it from going up for the same reason they can’t stop the KKK from demonstrating.
Actually, the citizens do have a right to monitor what sort of “artistic” statements go up in the public square... else we would have all sorts of perversions demanded in the name of personal religious belief.
I never said the citizens didn’t have that right, just that the government can’t take that decision upon itself.
People of Oklahoma, I beg you: destroy this thing when it is set up in your state. There is a higher authority than the law of the land. You don’t want a statue of Ba’al in your state. Breaking man’s laws is trivial compared to God’s anger against you for allowing this.
There should be no private funding of this display. The names of the donors should be featured prominently on the statue that they are donating.

It is interesting how they make their version of satan look like a smiling, loving unicorn/goat with a caduceus for a phallus, drawing in the young children.
Let them put that thing up, if they must. It will not be long until it is pranked.
I think the Satan statue is an outstanding idea. Placed in proximity to the 10 Commandments, it will serve as a constant reminder to those who would violate the commandments. Satan’s going to GET YOU!.

A teacher was told by a 15-year-old high school sophomore that he was having homosexual sex with an "older man." At the very least, statutory rape occurred. Fox News reported that the teacher violated a state law requiring that he report the abuse. That former teacher, Kevin Jennings, is President Obama's "safe school czar".
According to Mr. Jennings' own description in a new audiotape discovered by Fox News, the 15-year-old boy met the "older man" in a "bus station bathroom" and was taken to the older man's home that night. ..."
On the tape, Mr. Jennings recollected that he told the student to make sure "to use a condom" when he was with the older man. That he actively encouraged the relationship is reinforced by Mr. Jennings' own description in his 1994 book, "One Teacher in 10." In that account, the teacher boasts how he allayed the student's concerns about the relationship to such a degree that the 15-year-old "left my office with a smile on his face that I would see every time I saw him on the campus for the next two years, until he graduated." ..."
