For all the attention Obamacare has drawn in recent weeks, few observers have noted that the law is having the unexpected, yet most welcome, effect of transforming scores of millions of Americans, virtually overnight, into generous benefactors of the less fortunate. A real-world examplerepresentative of countless millions of similar situationswill make this crystal clear:
Lets say that you are a healthy, hardworking 54-year-old single adult in San Francisco earning $45,960 per yearthe income level at which federal Obamacare subsidies from your fellow taxpayers are no longer available to help you pay your monthly health-insurance premiums. As a San Francisco resident, you are permitted to choose from among 16 separate Obamacare-compliant insurance plans. Four of these are so-called Bronze plans, low-level policies whose average premium will cost you $453 per month, or $5,436 per year. In exchange for those premium payments, a Bronze plan will cover 60% of your medical expensesthat is, after you meet the $5,000 out-of-pocket annual deductible. For this priceless peace of mind, you can thank Obamacarethe Democratic Partys gift to a grateful America.

Under Obama, you are a first class sucker for working hard.
Loaf and you get rewarded.
All this needs to be left to the states to decide.
Those states which want this(punishment of success) will see people in droves moving to states that do not wish it.
Being at the federal level keeps people from having the freedom to leave.
And make no mistake: this is all about freedom.

The Dems having been doing this since the New Deal.

Is it wealth redistribution,
is it reparations,
or is it simply “get YT”?

History doesn't repeat itself... it rhymes. It has to rhyme rather than repeat, since things have changed a bit since 1917. It might be bloodier, it might not be, but the end result is the same.

Where does he get that?

Well, out o his pocket, of course.
It gets way better than this writer describes. One of the primary intents of ObamaCare was subsidize the chronic health problems that members of the entitlement culture have put on themselves by several generations of idleness, chronic drug and alcohol abuse, STDs ect.
Once these people get into the health care system with their free health care system they will overwhelm and bankrupt our healthcare system with their pre existing conditions.
We are subsidizing the negative health impacts created by the failure of our failed social welfare policies.

Dude must be gay with multiple "roommates", if he can manage San Francisco on $46K a year.

The 2013 Index of Dependence on Government from the Heritage Foundation.
Now factor in the 8% or so of the population who receive paychecks from the government and, therefore, pay their taxes with money taken from other Americans. Tipping point? I think so.
