It’s hard to remember Obama looking happier and more carefree than in the photos of him today walking with his daughters across the White House lawn on their way home.
Instead of Michelle’s absence in Hawaii being a birthday gift from Obama, it’s easier to imagine that Obama commanded Michelle to remain at their vacation home so that he would not have to have her around after his return to Washington.
When has Obama ever been known to do anything for anyone but himself? The ‘’birthday gift’’ explanation seems like a convenient story to cover his desire to be free from his wife for at least a few weeks and maybe longer.
I have to agree.
This is all just spin covering up the real story.
I don’t know what the real story is, but I’m sure “birthday present” is not it.
Most decent parents would not choose to spend an extended period of time away from their young children. Movie night? Sure. A weekend? Possibly. But this sounds like 2 weeks.
