Theres a reason the text version of Camille Paglias opening statement at the Munk Debate, Resolved: Men Are Obsolete garnered 10K likes on Facebook and received more than one thousand comments at Time.com: it hit a nerve.
It was a nerve that needed to be hit, and Paglia did it beautifully.
Not only was her choice of words fitting, she delivered them with the perfect amount of exasperation.
America must revisit its distorted view of gender equality, implored Paglia, and start being fair to the other half of the human race.
Mens success in fields such as medicine, engineering and technology have done more to liberate women from the constraints of their former lives than a busload of feminists could ever hope to do.
Its time to stop pretending men are oppressors and to start recognizing the extraordinary contributions men have made to society.
Paglia says, History must be seen clearly and fairly: obstructive traditions arose not from mens hatred or enslavement of women but from the natural division of labor that had developed over thousands of years during the agrarian period and that once immensely benefited and protected women, permitting them to remain at the hearth to care for helpless infants and children. Over the past century, it was laborsaving appliances, invented by men and spread by capitalism, that liberated women from daily drudgery.

Or any woman??? Women have the upper hand because today's economy is decreasing guy-type jobs via automation and off-shoring to China and Asia. While office jobs (that women adore) are steady or increasing and this includes zillion of make work gov't jobs. The EPA for example which is headed up by a woman and before her another woman... The EPA is always in a war to eliminate guy type jobs. Production jobs in oil, energy, logging and manufacturing

That one is more arguable. It's more important in cities than suburban or rural areas. I am more a fan of composting, presorted recycling, and more sophisticated packaging (which did a LOT to reduce food spoilage). In general, I like the idea of vehicles carrying goods both to and from the point of use.
As an example, our family of four rarely fills a 20 gallon garbage can, but I do take out a truckload of steel and other recyclables perhaps once a year. We don't go to great lengths, but do try to do the simple things. I treat disassembly as an engineering problem, looking at how things are made with respect to the product lifecycle. There is a lot of room for improvement, particularly as regards material selection. My guess is that if we really confronted these problems, we'd use a great many more farmed or compostable materials.

You’ll also note that women weren’t allowed patents because they were women. How many of those inventions you listed were really invented/discovered by women?
You’ll note that feminism was invented by women who felt inadequate.
