The Democrats are certainly making great strides in alienating all of the military community, and the patriotic American citizens as well.

He needs to be flushed from the Oval Office like the turd he is. This man is a tyrant and a dictator and there are limits to executive orders. I think he has reached that point here.

Mental health will be defined and interpretec by the 0 administration. This lays the grounwork for complete disarmament if no one is keeping tabs on who is denied or not.
The VA is paranoid about the number of vets who are committing suicide. That is why they ask.
Veteran suicides are a bad thing and the VA is very, very sensitive about that. Believe it or not, they do care about you (most of the time) and they don’t want you to off yourself or anybody else (like the Washington Navy Yard shooter did). A large percentage of the folks who work at the VA are themselves veterans.
Like I said, it is very difficult to get someone declared incompetent to the point that they would make an issue about firearms ownership. The only ones I have seen declared incompetent were absolutely incompetent and no longer had decision-making capability about anything. Of course, owebama could issue a regal decree tomorrow that could change all of this.
Its like my boss told me a couple of weeks ago: “You are practicing in the only field of medicine in which ALL of your patients have been trained in the use of firearms.”
Who gets to decide the definition of mentally ill and who of the supposedly mentally ill should not have weapons?

30-06 rounds were going for $3.00 last I checked. 22 ammo is from 22 to 50 cents a round, if you could find any. 223 stuff is fairly plentiful at about 40 cents.
They are not Laws, in name only, they certainly have the effect of law and require a super majority of both houses to undo them. In effect they become Constitutional Amendments, which is much worse. Executive Orders can be undone with the stroke of a pen, by a sitting President.
