DAILY CURRANT Colorado is reconsidering its decision to legalize recreational pot following the deaths of dozens due to marijuana overdoses.
According to a report in the Rocky Mountain News, 37 people were killed across the state on January 1st, the first day the drug became legal for all adults to purchase. Several more are clinging onto life in local emergency rooms and are not expected to survive.
Its complete chaos here, says Dr. Jack Shepard, chief of surgery at St. Lukes Medical Center in Denver, Ive put five college students in body bags since breakfast and more are arriving every minute.

“My guess is you dont have much experience in this...?”
Probably more than you.
Ditto. Never heard of.
This is probably a good time to mention that on the news this week they mentioned that a swath of towns and counties in WA, most in the south( but I’m guessing also East) that are not planning any legal marijuana sales. I’m guessing that these may be places where a lower percentage of the population voted for it, but in any case. A guy on the news was whining that some in WA may have to drive hundreds if miles to buy marijuana. It’s always something.
Over a 25 year period, a friend of mine, lets call him Ted, has driven thousands of miles stoned on pot, with no accidents, tickets or any other incidents. Never even been pulled over while high.
Driving totally sober, he’s gotten several speeding tickets, tickets for running stop signs and 2 at fault accidents.
Ted has also driven more than a few miles drunk, and he knows it’s the dumbest thing he ever did, and is lucky to be alive and to have never had a DWI.

Over a 25 year period, a friend of mine, lets call him Dead, has driven his last mile having killed 15 pedestrians in NYC driving stoned on his bicycle ....

Video shows MJ impaired drive totally losing it.
Yes 37 is a ridiculous number, 3 or 4 wouldn’t be so bad.
You can OD on pot?
It shows them all easily passing the test at 4X the legal limit.
LOL!
Their dropping like flies all around me. ;)
“It shows them all easily passing the test at 4X the legal limit.”
Closed course with no traffic, no pedestrians, no stop signs, no traffic lights, no penalty for going five mph ...
Still many dead ‘cones’ and one didn’t even notice that it was raining!
Forced to smoke more and more until they were all 9X or more over the legal limit and everyone of them agreed they should not and would not drive. “Many cones” = 3 or 4 that I saw.

And you still agree that driving stoned is safe?
I don't recall posting that. All I did was report more of what was in the video you linked.
It is a great video. Here is a direct link to it that doesn't require clicking through two pages and searching them for the connecting links...
Stoned drivers hit test course
Everyone should watch it.

Impaired drivers thought they ‘nailed’ the course. The only thing they nailed were the cones.
Sorry. That was TTP. But you seem to agree with him.
Are you Madame Cleo?
Hmmm. You post a link from the UofC Denver. Isn’t that the same institution that always predicts the hurricane season will be worse than normal because of global warming says so?
Isn’t that the same institution that has to retract same prediction every year?
Are the only tests you consider valid done by local news shows? Is that the standard of credibility you want to hang everything on?
