Human Events has named Republican Rep. Darrell Issa of California "Conservative of the Year" for 2013 for holding the Obama Administration accountable for abuse of power in his work as the Chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee.
"The rule of law is a matter of much concern lately, thanks to President Obama's extraordinary use, and often flagrant abuse, of executive power," the editors of Human events wrote. "For the past five years, no one has worked more diligently to hold this Administration accountable than Rep. Darrell Issa."

Um... Nothing. Well, there's the fact that they've been talking about a Special Prosecutor for a little over two years now and nothing has been done...
no accomplishments of substance, barking and exposing has to lead to removal from office, jail, fines, and so forth otherwise it’s just so much political masturbation. Even the minor flunkies have skated away. You can blame Boener or whoever, but it does not establish accomplishments for Issa.
Instead of Clinton being charged and exposed, she is running for president.
Instead of Obama being impeached he’s playing golf in Hawaii. They are laughing at Issa and all the rest, including us.
I live in Issa’s district and no one wants follow-up more than me, but let’s not fill up on cotton candy.
Discriminatory practices by the attorney general and the department of justice.
OK, who’s your candidate that’s going to unite the entire conservative voting bloc. Is there one? Are we going to get stuck with a Christy as our candidate?
I will not coalesce around Chris Christie. I’m 67 and will no longer waste my vote of cowards and moderates.
What a joke. This hack was too afraid to call Hillary.
OK, enlighten me, who's your candidate?
Cruz is the only contender this year. He came closer to accomplishing something.
Agreed.
The culmination of Fast and Furious, Benghazi, NSA-spying, IRS-targeting, etc being revealed and nobody being punished will have lasting consequences.
Anybody in jail yet?
Enlighten you?
That is impossible!
I’m still waiting for Lois Lerner’s return.
Daryl (Kabuki) Issa has indeed been a disappointment; lots of bloviating, then, then....nuttin. I don’t understand why there are so few actual results. I will admit don’t know the process of procedure, but still! I have a concern about Trey Goudy. I like Trey and want to see him grilling the dems as he did last year, but I’m concerned because it seems to me that Trey does not look well, and has lost a lot of weight this past year. I could be mistaken.
We have a sitting Marxist that has United millions of Americans,The Republican establishment does not have the cajones to join them, they are determined to sell out the country further with amnesty,so who is the candidate who can unify the party? There is none.
The country is finished,done,cooked,history
Agree. I’d expect more. We need a pit bull and Issa’s a Boxer.
