If you (generic application) understand what’s going on here, then you should understand why U. S. loyalists don’t want binding international agreements.

Here a state is deemed by some not to have the right to decide what flag it wishes to represent it.

Internationally, the United States can been deemed in a like manner to coerce it to change it’s ways.

Good-by self-determination, hello to inferiority and domination from outside your borders.

Members of the group say the American symbol is an outdated relic that represents racism and hatred, The Associated Press reported.

Not much longer, you KNOW that is coming, don’t you?

There must be some place in Mississippi where the California flag can be used to wipe your feet after leaving the bathroom. I’d say printing rolls of toilet paper with the California flag on them but I’d be afraid to have anything related to California that close to my rear.

Dear California Lawyers,

If THAT is what the flag represents to you, then IT IS YOU WHO OWN THE PROBLEM!

Get over it!
Get over yourselves!

Mississippi could point out that California’s state flag is also a symbol of racism, signifying the long ago oppression of Mexicans and Japanese.

Between 1848 and 1860, at least 163 Mexicans were lynched in California, most under Democrat governors. Mexican American school children were subject to racial segregation in the public school system. They were forced to attend “Mexican schools” in California until 1947.

I’m sure they’d be happy to fly the flag of Mexico or Aztlan there.

Elitist scum.

And the California flag is the flag of whites that worked to shamelessly take a territory of a weaker, non-white nation. And it represents a shame country that didn’t even exist for more than a few days.

See how easy that was?

How much power does the OC Bar association actually have? Are they run out of a PO box?

I demand that California reinstate prop 8 as the will of the voters.
I’ve got as much pull as these kooks.

Yeah well, the states have been nationalized making the stars on the national flag outdated as well.

You folks here must have a short memory. The State put this issue up
for a vote several years ago and it was overwhelming defeated(not by just whites but by blacks too).

To the Ca. bar; we fought a war over 200 years ago with England to cast off the shackles of unjust colonialism, of taxation w/out representation, etc. We fought that same country again over such issues as their seizure of American sailors and forcing them into involuntary servitude in the British navy. Although our differences are long since past just like slavery, I’m still offended that both the Maryland and Hawaiian flags retain reminders of our oppressive history with Great Britain. I demand you remove these flags as well, I mean if you’re going to be fair about it...

The esteemed California Bar should also demand that all schools, universities, and books in libraries public or private purge all references to “unpleasant events” such as the Civil War, slavery, Nazi Germany and the Holocaust, etc. I mean, like, why remember the “past”? It’s so over, and it’s not as if we are doomed to repeat it...

Malcolm “X” was racist too - but no one complained about the X then.

Dear CA lawyers: Go F yourself. If you hate MS’ flag, should you tell others what flag should be theirs? Haven’t you heard of STATE RIGHTS?

Next they will go against Florida and Alabama as their state flags were based on the Confederate battle flag but a bit different.

These jackass lawyers are simply trying to feel important by raising a stink about something that’s actually nothing. Seriously, no one even looks at the flags (individually) when they go to the Santa Ana courthouse. Most people come and go through the Civic Center Drive entrance and the flags are in the plaza area behind the building. The people that cross the plaza to get to the building might notice that there are a bunch of flags on display but largely just walk on by to get their business taken care of.

To everyone who has said some form of “screw the OC Bar Association” I wholeheartedly agree.

It is getting more and more evident that this country will be much better off without about 90% of the Kalifornians that live there.
