Time Grows Short

Oh how prescient these men were. And so again we’ve reached that point as history repeats itself. Once again a Republic finds itself rotted from within and corrupt to the core and on the precipice of dictatorship. Will we suffer the fate of the Greeks and Romans and Weimar Germans or will the people rise up and throw off the shackles of the impending dictatorship and restore this once great Republic to the principles and rule of law contained in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution? Hopefully the American people are made of stiffer timber than those whom have passed before us. Time will tell, but one must admit that time is getting shorter, with each passing day the storm clouds of another far more devastating civil war gather in the distance. There is still time to stop the impending dictatorship through the ballot box; but as more organs of the press, academia, big business i.e. those too big to fail, and the establishment wing of the Republican party become cheerleaders, supporters and propagandists for the wannabe dictator, the window of opportunity fades as the winds of progressivism threaten to extinguish the flame of liberty, and the ability of the people to stop it at the ballot box draws perilously short.

Thankfully there are several elected officials that are calling for the dictator wannabe and his acolytes in the executive branch, and elsewhere, to be held to account through impeachment. They are called the Tea Party caucus and they deserve the support of all Americans, at least those of us whom still support the Constitution. The Tea Party Caucus and the Tea Party candidates whom will be running in the next two election cycles are the last best chance to preserve and restore our Constitutional Republic without armed conflict. Hopefully I am wrong, but history suggests I and others whom harbor the same opinion, supports this conclusion. IMHO

And since the NSA, used as it is by this administration as their personal Gestapo, will capture this email and save it for posterity and proof of guilt for whatever charge they think up when the time comes and the camps are open for business, let me just reiterate that I do not advocate for an armed conflict, rather my rantings are just a prediction based upon historical precedence. Of course this qualifier will not make any difference since the next step in the advancement of dictatorship, if we’re defeated at the ballot box, will be the same kind of kangaroo courts seen in banana republics and Nazi Germany, thus evidence will not matter and the verdict will be pre-ordained. For proof, just look to recent history and the machinations of the executive branch attempting to pervert the justice system to obtain a conviction of George Zimmerman for political purposes rather than justice. The executive branch of the federal government organized marches threatening riots if not convicted. That my friends are what we would expect in places like Venezuela or North Korea, not in America. That alone should have prompted impeachment charges against the President and the Attorney General if we lived in a country where the rule of law was still sacrosanct. But alas it is not. Although in the end justice was served the fact that the attempts were made to fix the trial, and that the opposition party did nothing to prevent this attempted perversion of law prove beyond doubt that the rule of law is in grave peril in our country.

I appeal to all of my fellow Americans, and especially to those who’ve actually taken the oath to “preserve and protect the Constitution”, to get involved in the process, not just by giving money to Tea Party candidates but to volunteer time to help them. One of the things we must do is to walk precincts with our candidates and attempt to persuade those whom are persuadable that the caricature of the Tea Party, created by the press, the democrats, and the GOPe are incorrect and based upon lies about what we stand for. We are entering the end game for elections and they will become a thing of the past unless we win in 2014 and 2016, most importantly to sweep out the GOPe because they are progressive wolfs in sheep’s clothing, everybody recognizes what the progressives are, they are open about their cult of personality and want of an imperial executive, but the GOPe go about the business of advancing progressivism with as much stealth as they can muster and now with the acquiescence of big business using the US Chamber of Commerce as cover. If we don’t go all out to win and end up losing there is only one result after that and it is almost too awful to contemplate.

And of course it is exactly the opposite of that, in typical lying democrips’ style.

One other thing -- you accused me of "name-calling" in my "emotional" post. I am stumped! The only thing I can imagine it might be is how I describe how the regular apolitical Democrat-dubious Joe & Jane 6-Pack Americans I hang around with, see the typical Republican, but you can't have somehow construed that as "name calling" because you also read that I have voted Republican all my life -- I've voted straight Republican ticket for more than 35 years; 2012 was the first time I ever declined a Republican on any ballot.

The reason I declined him is because I did my due diligence on his record and political philosophy. You voted FOR liberalism to become stronger in the Republican party and in America. That is what you voted FOR. That is not an "emotional" claim, it is not a "childish" claim, it is a fact. You may not want to admit it, but that changes the fact that you voted for liberalism to become stronger in the Republican party, not one whit. :^)

Many pPeople are determined to discover some magic way to clear their consciences. They know they lied to themselves to support a liberal and it’s easier to continue lying to themselves by projecting.

Like any leftist, they believe they have the truth and any disagreement means that you attacked them. Personally I am sick of people ignoring reality. In the event that someone calls them a name, oh well. They can suffer. They will just use it to build their fantasy that they really were right anyway.

Fortunately many more have manned up and accepted their mistake. That deserves some respect. But if someone is determined to act like a child, then I see nothing wrong in treating them as such.

Yeah, I am okay with folks who voted for Romney, I really am. I understand it. I did it for decades myself. Hell, I voted for Meg Whitman! Wouldn't do the same thing now, but --

-- but it hinges on this principle! I mean, if Romney is "Republican," then I'm in the wrong party. The really shocking truth is that some of these folks are genuinely ignorant; they really think, "Oh, come now, Romney wasn't that bad!" No, actually, he was worse. :^( I am so glad he lost. We have a second chance to move things in the White House.

I am not Invar or Dead Corpse, though my upset stomach tonight makes me feel a bit corpselike.

I would love to just think that we can vote this nightmare away. But it won’t work. The ballot box has been totally corrupted and rigged.

That is the reason that dem operative was beseeching the media to not use polls in 2014. The dems plan with the media to create the idea that they are way ahead and will win. That is to set up the ability to rig the balloting and make it appear like their wins are real.

One thing is certain, they will not give up the Senate. Those contests will be rigged to the max. They may have to settle for not winning the House, but the outcome will be that we are still unable to do a thing to slow this. Obama ignores the House and rules by fiat. Harry Reid is his cover.

I feel very sad at times because we have gotten into this mess by always figuring that we can right the wrong in the next election. As a result, we have allowed this destruction to happen without much more than a whimper.

The people we are up against are bad people who hate this country. They are not going to give up easy.

But they won’t do it.

People get crazy over me pointing that out here. But it’s true. Democrats are what they are. None of us are so deluded as to think they will change. Yet whenever the GOP crosses the line, excuses are made.

Which is WHY the GOP does nothing to correct themselves or the Dems. They know damn well they get enough votes to stay in office with nothing to fear.

There are people in the GOP filing suits against Obama’s actions. That said, the House is full of mostly cowards worried about the media deriding them.

Unfortunately, even if these in the House did something right, it would never be brought to the Senate floor.

The House could impeach the jackass, and they should, but with Boehner as leader, they won’t.

However, none of that would end this tomorrow. You want it to end? Do it the Egyptian way. That is the only thing that would scare them. But none of us will do that either because Obama might drone us.

The couple lawsuits are nothing compared to the number there should be. For starters. There should be a team camped out at the USSC ready to file each and every time he violates the law and ussurps power creating one constitutional crisis after another that only the Supreme Court can sort through.

As for tomorrow, Yes tomorrow. They announce that nothing...NOTHING gets passed before the USSC deals with all the madness he already caused.

The Republican governors could easily sign exec orders suspending federal cooperation until such time as legalities are determined.

That’s no wilder or crazier a thing than what Obama has done thus far is it? It’s also in their power as sovereign states.

Then what does Obama do? Go on defense? Exactly. Because his power to offend is removed.

That was the base of my entire point. The statement given in the OP that the ballot box can stop this tyranny or impending civil conflict is just plain idiotic in the face of the reality of where we have arrived.

To state that reality, seems to earn a knee-jerk automatic charge of fomenting violence.

Few want to know or see where we really are, or what is actually the case - because it’s either too horrifying to contemplate, or would require someone to change their thinking about steps one needs to take to preserve what is precious.

Most have a fatal case of Normalcy Bias.

Well said. And when Democrats vote for Democrats, they know exactly what they're voting for (though they clearly don't know the consequences). When Republicans vote for Republicans, they hope to be voting for a representative who will advocate for limited government in principle as well as in deed, but they know that what the representative will actually do once in office, is a TOTAL CRAP SHOOT.

Now I know a guy like fatman is going to say: "All voting is a crap shoot!" To which I would answer, "No, it's only a crap shoot for Republicans." Democrats get exactly what they vote for. Republicans like fatman think they can vote FOR liberalism and get something else. No wonder the party is screwed up six ways to Sunday.

I still think there's time for the ballot and soap boxes, on that I agree with fatman, but I also think that the ONLY way we can use those two items to our advantage, is to take the presidential candidate THIRD PARTY in order to weaken the leftist/liberal power structure in the GOP by at least forcing a plurality win on the victorious liberal Uniparty candidate.

In every election since Reagan left office, people have relied on the lesser evil excuse to justify their votes. This is a fact.

In every election since Reagan left office, people have bemoaned that the Dem was of the devil and that they HAD to take what they could get in order to save America. This is a fact.

In every election since Reagan left office, people have, through their voting, elected progressively more liberal Republicans, willingly and on purpose who have moved ‘progressively’ to the left. This is a fact.

We can know that the above are actual FACTS because we can A: read the history of the actions and B: pick up a newspaper or turn on the tv/read the internet.

I used to think most people were just in denial. I have come to the conclusion that in reality, they just are too arrogant to admit their mistakes and learn from them.

They are invested in a lifetime of believing that their choices were correct based on the information they had at the time. Thus we hear lots of revisionist history about their candidates to justify their actions.

It takes a lot of courage to admit being well and truly wrong. For myself, someone who first and proudly voted for Reagan in 84 (I was too young for the 80 election), it was not easy for me to admit to myself that my vote for McCain (to get Palin) helped move the party leftward and greatly so. It was a mistake. I will forever eat crow for it. Much as I want Palin in office (as I believe in what she has to say), if I had it to do over I would not pull the lever on McCain.

I wouldn’t do it because I see what happened. Even though he lost, it opened the floodgates for the GOP to adopt every liberal tactic Steve Schmitt and co employed on a party-wide scale. I helped make things worse.

Now we are still a couple out from the next election, assuming we get to one. There is ZERO excuse for people to stick their heads in the sand in light of the last election and the liberalism that has been unleashed in the GOP since.

People that vote to further empower the GOP are every bit as detrimental to what remains of America as a liberal. Cruz, Lee and MAYBE a couple others are “RINO” at this point in the sense that they are not toeing the GOP line. They aren’t ‘Republicans” by the modern definition of the term. Personally I wish they would make it official and disavow their party membership, but that’s besides the point. At heart they aren’t Republicans. TEA yes. So supporting them is a great thing.

As for the rest, we can keep doing what we have been or not.

If we do, we are a bunch of untrustworthy hypocrites since we believe in nothing we claim to. If we don’t and finally stand on principle we might lose. But I doubt it.

But as I said many times and was roundly mocked for it, What do you ‘win’ with a House full of Romney clones? What do you “win” with a guy like him in charge when they all mirror Democrats?

Nothing.
