““I’ve been a cheerleader for the Affordable Care Act since I heard about it and I assumed that it was designed for people in my situation,” Holly, a freelance yoga instructor, told KOIN.”

she originally championed President Barack Obama’s signature health care law because she thought it would help people in her situation

This is classic socialism: the naive do-gooders believe the "good intentions" of socialism and big government only to find out later that they've been duped by the false promises of socialism and power-hungry demagogues. The cure for do-gooders is theoretical and historical education on the utter failure and bankruptcy of socialism. If they don't learn that way, they'll learn from painful experience, like this lady and millions like her. One way or the other, the do-gooders will get an education. There's no cure for the demogogues except kicking them out of office and keeping them out.

But Katie poo, it’s “Affordable”, didn’t you hear?
Obama says so!
Bet she voted for him and was ecstatic over the “affordable care act” better known as Obamacare.

Kate Holly, 33, tells KOIN-TV that she originally championed President Barack Obama’s signature health care law because she thought it would help people in her situation. “I’ve been a cheerleader for the Affordable Care Act since I heard about it and I assumed that it was designed for people in my situation,” Holly, a freelance yoga instructor, told KOIN.

yeah...she thought I was going to pay for her free health care. I'm thrilled to hear this is hurting. I hope obamacare crushes her and millions like her who brought this monstrosity down on all our heads!

Reality Bites!

Holly’s husband works for a non-profit organization that pays for his health care, but the couple is unable to afford to have her and their son covered under his plan. And she’s been told their combined income is too much to qualify for a subsidized health care plan under Cover Oregon.

IIRC, subsidy starts about $45K-$48K. What the hell do "freelance yoga instructors" make these days?
And if they make more than $48K, why can't they afford healthcare?

I'm all for an "Affordable Care Act" but Obamacare ain't it. Interesting that as the Obamacare train steams over end of the open bridge into the abyss, they're trying desperately to peel Obama's name off of it.

(The "Unaffordable Uncaring Act" would be accurate, but "Obamacare" still has the better ring to it!)

as far as I’m concerned, those who championed Obamacare have NO business caterwauling about it now. The only thing coming out of their mouths should be, “think I’ll listen to the conservatives next time.”....

and those O-bots should be reminded that every fiasco related to the epic fail that is Obamacare was PREDICTED years ago.
