PORTLAND, Ore. (CBS Seattle/AP) One Oregon mother says that she is unable to afford health insurance for her and her 18-month-old son because its too expensive.
Kate Holly, 33, tells KOIN-TV that she originally championed President Barack Obamas signature health care law because she thought it would help people in her situation.
Ive been a cheerleader for the Affordable Care Act since I heard about it and I assumed that it was designed for people in my situation, Holly, a freelance yoga instructor, told KOIN. I was planning on using the Affordable Care Act and I had done the online calculator in advance to make sure I was going to be able to afford it.

Yep, looks like she’ll have to cut her budget somewhere in order to pay for it! It’s the LAW.
Perhaps she could eat more grain based gruel and less fresh fruits & veggies. That would cut the food budget...
Tough luck..
As the TV says, “It’s the Law of the Land!”, and it cannot be changed.
She should have voted better, and not against her own self-interest.
I think the libs are still stuck on the implied or inferred lie that Obamacare meant
free healthcare for all on demand.
Another Obamatron who thought they were getting FREE health care.
Another dumb drone who feels voting Leftist actually helps people, in general, and their own lot in life, in particular. Fact is, this loser will learn nothing from her pain and vote for Hillary in 2016. She’ll spout off about how “only a Democrat can fix the problems.”
She just didn't realize that she would be paying for it.
What....premiums didn’t go down by $2500 per family as Obama promised?
Obama of course was also all too content to let them go on thinking they were going to get FREE health care until after his re-election. Which is almost as big a lie as “if you like your plan, you can keep your plan.”
The term is useful idiot.
Total cheerleader.... as long as she benefits. No ability to think outside on her own.

Lol She should marry pajama boy, he would be perfect for a yoda..er..yoga instructor.
This is classic socialism: the naive do-gooders believe the "good intentions" of socialism and big government only to find out later that they've been duped by the false promises of socialism and power-hungry demagogues. The cure for do-gooders is theoretical and historical education on the utter failure and bankruptcy of socialism. If they don't learn that way, they'll learn from painful experience, like this lady and millions like her. One way or the other, the do-gooders will get an education. There's no cure for the demogogues except kicking them out of office and keeping them out.
Find a ‘second’ job? No, she needs to find a real job.
The selfish lady wants to hang out at the gym all day and expects us to pay for her son’t health care.
I’m waiting for reports of angry liberals being escorted out of clinics and hospitals at gunpoint when they’re told they don’t have insurance. LOL
Yugo?
That would take some serious mech skills to stay on the road.
I’d speculate 10 yr old Subaru with COEXIST and = bumper stickers.
But Katie poo, it’s “Affordable”, didn’t you hear?
Obama says so!
Bet she voted for him and was ecstatic over the “affordable care act” better known as Obamacare.
According to Nancy, you need to EMBRACE THE SUCK!
yeah...she thought I was going to pay for her free health care. I'm thrilled to hear this is hurting. I hope obamacare crushes her and millions like her who brought this monstrosity down on all our heads!
Ho hum. There will be no outrage from the media until a gay couple is forced to make this choice. Then the wailing will be epic.
Hollys husband works for a non-profit organization that pays for his health care, but the couple is unable to afford to have her and their son covered under his plan. And shes been told their combined income is too much to qualify for a subsidized health care plan under Cover Oregon.
