PORTLAND, Ore. (CBS Seattle/AP) — One Oregon mother says that she is unable to afford health insurance for her and her 18-month-old son because it’s too expensive.
Kate Holly, 33, tells KOIN-TV that she originally championed President Barack Obama’s signature health care law because she thought it would help people in her situation.
“I’ve been a cheerleader for the Affordable Care Act since I heard about it and I assumed that it was designed for people in my situation,” Holly, a freelance yoga instructor, told KOIN. “I was planning on using the Affordable Care Act and I had done the online calculator in advance to make sure I was going to be able to afford it.”

My guess is coverage under the husband’s plan is probably about the same as unsubsidized coverage under Obamacare. I would think they’d be able to cover the child, somehow. I’m wondering if/why hubby’s ins. doesn’t offer a parent/child option, that can be economical.
I guess she’s goiing to have to quit working and go on the dole.....

Our state is full of these idgits....especially in the greater Portland area and Eugene...we aim to CORRECT the state’s 25 year slide this year.
They denied the facts that were put before them.
They believed the lie of the benevolence of "progressives".

Sometimes I really feel liberals who have kids think they are a burden for which they think society and government is responsible - not them.
I will bet you, though, they sure as hell took those Child Tax Credits for them, and used them for their EITC computations, etc.
