PORTLAND, Ore. (CBS Seattle/AP) One Oregon mother says that she is unable to afford health insurance for her and her 18-month-old son because its too expensive.
Kate Holly, 33, tells KOIN-TV that she originally championed President Barack Obamas signature health care law because she thought it would help people in her situation.
Ive been a cheerleader for the Affordable Care Act since I heard about it and I assumed that it was designed for people in my situation, Holly, a freelance yoga instructor, told KOIN. I was planning on using the Affordable Care Act and I had done the online calculator in advance to make sure I was going to be able to afford it.

They are liberals. He works for a “non-profit”, which is code words for some liberal supporting organization. They believe that “other people” ought to support them. Now they find out that THEY or the “other people”. Sometimes it is just too sweet when reality bites someone in the ass.

Stupidity is expensive.
Wow, after seeing her Facebook page, I’s say that not having health ins is the least of her problems.

Embrace the suck.
The answer is to not get health insurance, to keep youself and your baby healthy, to pay for all routine medical treatment yourself and to rely on Providence to provide for your needs.
The Government has replaced the Church as the repository of charity not only in the United States, but pretty much throughout the entire planet. It is no wonder there is no growth in Christianity. People don’t need the charity of their fellow parishoners any more, now they just expect that the Government will take care of everything.
Well the Government is 17 Trillion dollars in the red. This Oregon Mother, if she has a single dollar in her pocket, has $17 trillion more in assets than the government to whom she is complaining.
Actually Oregon is most red. The Portland, Eugene and Ashland areas are the major blue spots. And Portland has the population of a lot of liberals.
She was counting on a subsidy to pay for them but what most people don’t realize is that “subsidy” will come out of their income tax return.
Her situation is two married parents, both working. Why would she expect help from the taxpayer? She is the taxpayer!
Went out in one with a bunch of friends in Missoula years ago. We were amazed that the owner actually made several trips to Iowa and back. I was glad to get out of that thing.
“She says shes had no insurance since age 21. Apparently hubby doesnt think theyre worth paying for health insurance.”
How did she pay for prenatal care and delivery of her son?
She looks like a professional blind date.
“How did she pay for prenatal care and delivery of her son?”
Drug addled new age midwife with delivery in a water filled kids blow up pool for $500 bucks is my guess.
Yep, she couldn’t figure out that in direct opposition to the 13th amendment, she is now a tax slave working for the benefit of others. The 13th was do away with involuntary servitude yet we’ve allowed the party of traitors and slavery to bring it back.
Stupid twit.
> She looks like a professional blind date.
You are correct IMO. You’d have to be blind to date her...:)
Feminazis, bulldykes, and liberal women seem to share that “look”...
I pray everyone of these Obots that voted for Barry and cheered for Deathcare get to feel the pain firsthand.
Hey lady, YOU voted for it, YOU wanted it, so be a good girl, pay up and eat your peas
Hey lady, it’s a DEMOCRAT THING and don’t you forget it.
