Going unnoticed is the fact that these rescue missions at one time were always American ventures. There is no mention (at least none that I am aware) in this several days long saga of an American offer of help. An example of our reach and influence in decline. Benghazi happened. We let our own people die for political reasons - made no attempt to save them. Then followed it up with 'what difference does it make'...
We can't pretend we're anything other than a thuggy wannabee police state anymore - and a broke one at that...
This episode is one more police state birth pang. The United States isn't the 'good guys' any more...

They were following a route taken 100 years ago in ice free water. The ice there now is proof of global warming.

Stop! Stop! The helicopters frighten the penguins! Frightened penguins can’t reproduce! They are killing the penguins! The horror.....the horror.

"This rescue can not be good for the environment."I agree. We're all going to die (sooner) because of this exhibition.
All these past years useful products have been banned to help heal the environment. In ten days these "scientists" have set us back with all of their carbon useage. Now we're back to square one. If these scientist are greenies then why are they not using green products to save themselves? Hypocrites. Mother Nature should take care of them, not humans.
I lit an incandescent light bulb for the environment.

This still doesn't sound like a done deal. That's a lot of helicopter trips, there are still going to be a lot of people stranded on the boat, and then there's the evacuation of the stuck Chinese vessel.Yep and during all this time, something could go horribly wrong.
