Vladimir Putin has vowed to pursue terrorists to total annihilation, in his first public comments since the Volgograd suicide bombings. In his traditional New Year's Eve address, which was broadcast at midnight from the Far Eastern city of Khabarovsk, (5pm in Moscow), he praised Russias unity in the face of both terrorism and natural disasters and promised to continue an unrelenting fight against the bombers. In the past year we have faced problems and serious challenges including the inhuman terror attacks in Volgograd and unprecedented disasters in the Far East, he said. Dear friends, we bow our heads in memory of the victims of these terrible attacks. We will strongly and decisively continue the battle against terrorists until their total annihilation, he said.
Mr Putin earlier provoked a storm of condemnation on the Russian internet on Sunday after the message broadcast an hour earlier in Kamchatka, Russias most easterly timezone, made no mention of the attacks. > Putin has a pretty firm grasp on who his enemies are. Obastard does not have that luxury.
Well we know who is friends are: politicians, lobbyists, celebrities, multimillionares and billionaiires, socialists / progressives, lefties, radical Islamists, etc
Pretty much everyone else who has to really work for a living, is Christian and has had to endure hardships are his foes...
No kidding. if it had been up to me every hajj since 2001 would have been held at Mecca Crater.
He can’t admit that publicly. But you’re correct.
Joe Biden was wrong: "The Taliban per se is not our enemy. That's critical."
Sounds like the best way to handle terrorist.
Quotation? He gave his New Year remarks in English? Cannot believe one word out of a Communist’s mouth.
Vladimir will annihilate them if he can find them, but that is the problem, particularly in so large a nation.
He'll go straight to profiling which is the competent way to do it.
I like Putin’s attitude.
The Jews weren’t bombing Rail stations in Germany...!
That'll spite Putin.
Then get to it Vlad
You’ll be doing the world a favor
But Kristallnacht started as "retaliation" for a Jew killing a German diplomat in Paris.
We’ll know he is serious if people start dying in Saudi Arabia.
MA Governor Deval Patrick described the Boston bombings as a “failure to love.” I’m not kidding.
Going after the terrorist foot-soldiers is futile. As long as there is financing for training, and supporting the radical clerics who do the recruiting, there will be an ENDLESS supply of terrorists.
Go after the wealthy Arabs who finance the terrorists, and who pay the radical clerics to preach radical Islam, and the terrorist groups will wither away.
I do believe that the ‘relative’ was a pre-teen.
yup, be careful what we root for...
