A closeted gay student living in West Monroe, Louisiana has written a powerful essay, criticizing the town's most famous residents - Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson.
In an essay posted on Times-Picuyne columnist Robert Mann's blog, the communications student writes that Robertson probably didn't mean to hurt anyone with his statements, he nonetheless created a hostile environment.
'He encouraged - hopefully unintentionally - a two-week-long "fag bashing" in Monroe and around the world. He made me feel unsafe in my own home. I can't count how many times I heard "faggot" over the Christmas visit home.'

Reading the essay it appears that most of what he was complaining about - regarding his parents, his family, his church, the town, and the university - all pre-date Robinson’s comments. So how is Robinson responsible?
Typical QUEEN...Attention seeking.
Wahhhh. STFU and have a latte.
Me and my friends in High School used to jokingly call each other “ FAAGOT” in a way just to be stupid when we greeted one another. I mean why should that word be offensive to Homos if they are proud of their sexual orientation like a lot of them are. You want to be Queer and Here then live with the words people say.
So, “writer/communication’s student/closeted gay,”...we’re supposed to believe that at 12 years old you were an active gay, thinking of getting married, and were made uncomfortable by a Christian preacher encouraging those at church to vote against gay marriage?
Hogwash.
The best thing you could do is to follow Phil’s advise...do what he did with his own sins. Give yourself over to Jesus Christ, ask for His forgiveness, and be saved.
Then you will never need to feel that way again.
As He said,
“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.” Mathew 11:28-29

Bull*hit! They think we are stupid. Robert Mann made it up! He is a political lying hack.
Prior to joining the LSU faculty in 2006, Mann spent more than 20 years in the political arena, working for three United States senators and a Louisiana governor. He was communications director to Louisiana Governor Kathleen Blanco, prior to serving 19 years as a U.S. Senate aide.
How can you feel unsafe in your own home when no one knows who you are and that you're gay (closeted)? It's a bunch of crap disguised as news.
Queers want people to think they are like blacks.
In one way they are.
Blacks and queers have one of their own in the White House, running the country, and they are still whining and hand wringing and playing the victim.
Heterophobic bigotry should not be tolerated in the US. ;-)
Apparently we have different views on the use of the word powerful.
So, this homo thinks people are going to storm his house and lynch him, he says he’s in the closet so what is the problem?
Where did Phil compare homos to bestiality?
Okwanzaa has INSPIRED the victim class beyond my expectations
Barack Divisive Obama
because Now hes AFRAID....and FEELS he needs to GET his DUE...as a self defined under class-American
Bump
No, you CHOSE to “feel” unsafe in your own home.
I heard all of that.
these pukes have been primed to be offended..they are in fact REWARDED for taking offense.
this little punk probably printed the story from the blog...had it framed and is displaying it in his widdo bedwoom
I doubt he was ever personally verbally attacked while sitting in a pew in church. This is just a professional writer creating a dramatic scene and attacking Christians.
He never acknowledged how much it must have hurt his father to realize his son was an active homosexual. He makes it appear that he was always perfect and his father who supported him all his life and is probably still supporting him is an ignorant and brutal man.
Phil Robinson never attacked this young man or tried to get him fired from his job, if he has ever had one. But this young gay thinks it is good when homosexuals try to get Christians fired for following their faith.
A&E and the Gay activists are the ones who created this “atmosphere of fear,” not Phil Robertson.
It is A&E that tried to squash one American’s freedom of speech which generated the animosity.
Amen.
CONFUSION is now CELEBRATED in Modern America!
the poor widdo guy being a prime example of confusion has had his 15 seconds of fame...
Not one. Not one newspaper either.
There's not one network where traditional American ideas are accepted - well, except A&E - and that only because of a fight. A&E allows Duck Dynasty to end prayers with ‘in Jesus name we pray’... but A&E fought it...
Traditional Americans can't offer their ideas of morality in schools, but gays can come in and show 12 year olds how to put a condom on a banana.
That said, I'm sorry the young man's family doesn't accept him for who he is... Though his family speaks with the tongues of men and of angels, without love it's the sound of clanging cymbals... (to paraphrase)
theres a very strong possibilty that Mann is ....as they say “gay” and projected this whole mess
Actually, the two-week “fag-bashing” binge was spurred by GLAAD, not Robertson. If GLAAD hadn’t acted in such a fascist manner, the public at large wouldn’t have gotten so ticked off at the sequence of events.
I sincerely hope the public stays fighting mad. If we are silent, we lose even more ground in to the homo mafia.
