On Sunday December 22nd around one o'clock in the afternoon Deputies with the Marion County Sheriff's Office began taking reports of a male acting erratically in the 9000 block of Brooklake Road NE, near Salem.
A male later identified as Andrew Frey age 37 called a locksmith and refused to pay for the services rendered to him. After refusing to pay the locksmith, Mr. Frey walked into the Brook's Market where he refused to leave until an employee escorted him off of the property.
After leaving Brook's Market, Mr. Frey entered Iggy's Bar & Grill where he sat down inside of the bar. According to the victim, a bartender at Iggy's, Mr. Frey exposed his genitals and began masturbating inside of the bar.
Deputy Peter Walker was first to arrive on scene and found Mr. Frey had moved from the bar into the bathroom where Mr. Frey was still masturbating. Deputy Walker attempted to arrest Mr. Frey but he refused to cooperate with Deputy Walker and he began resisting arrest.
Deputy Walker used his Tazer several times on Mr. Frey but it had no affect. Deputy Walker attempted to call for help using his police radio but it did not work inside of the restaurant.
Luckily, at the same time a 911 dispatcher for the Sheriff's Office called Iggy's Bar & Grill to check on the status of Deputy Walker after not being able to reach him on the radio. This is when it was found that Deputy Walker was fighting with Mr. Frey and his police radio was not working.
The dispatcher called for immediate cover for Deputy Walker. Approximately 15 police officers from Salem, Keizer and Marion County responded to help Deputy Walker. After arriving, it still took several Deputies and Officers to get Mr. Frey into custody.
After Mr. Frey was arrested he was transported to Salem Memorial Hospital for evaluation for his erratic behavior. It was at the hospital where Mr. Frey admitted to Deputy Walker that he used methamphetamine as early as Saturday and he had no memory of any of the events that took place over Sunday afternoon.
Mr. Frey is currently being held in the Marion County Jail on the charges of Public Indecency, Resisting Arrest and Theft of Services.
Sounds like a normal day in New Philadelphia, Ohio.
I think the guy needs some serious help.
How can people who are supposedly broke afford drugs anyway?
EBT cards.
probably true
The drug dealer says “swipe here” on his IPhone...
I guess sometimes these urges become rather powerful.
It was just a wild guess. I don’t know diddley about EBT cards from experience, just what I have heard from others.
GMTA!
Heck, it’s Sunday.
It’s Oregon.
Does this really qualify as “newsworthy”?

Almost as entertaining as an episode of Breaking Bad, yet not quite.
Drudge thought it was newsworthy. I followed up on the story with the local police and looked at the perp’s background. This was a person that had a business career until 2012.
That made it unusual. The reason it took 15 cops to subdue him was that he was a college wrestler.
Dep should have tazed him in the dingdong. It would have got his attention.
meth heads . nothing good about em
when high on meth that’s a true statement
“...and it was at that point that I realized my life had become completely unmanageable.”
If you would like more information about Oregon, please FReepmail me. I lost my Oregon list when my computer crashed last month.
by selling the catalytic converter they just cut off your truck.
Andrew Frey’s terrible, awful, no good day demonstrates what it looks like when taking dope makes you act like a dope. It took 15 cops to settle his action down? I’m guessing this guy was already known by some of the cops, so they did not feel truly threatened. We all know what happens these days if a cop does feels threatened, by anything, a man, a dog, an African parrot. Bang! Bang! goes the gun! Andrew Frey, wonder if he’s related to Glen Frey of The Eagles. (Glen Frey dob Nov. 6th, 1948= 65 years old.)
