On Thursday evening, CNN’s Piers Morgan appeared before 2,000 Australian cricket fans who watched as he took bowls (they look like pitches to us Americans) from a peeved Aussie bowler.
Morgan had apparently long been taunting the Aussies as he was fed up with watching his native English cricket players getting dominated by their Australian counterparts.
This led to a public challenge of sorts, where Morgan faced bowler Brett Lee and received several welts from 80 mph throws that struck his body in various spots.
Throughout the ordeal, Morgan remained defiant, telling the bowler to “bring it on” after each toss struck a cringe-inducing blow.
After the event, Morgan reported his full injury list to Twitter:

We’re not going to try and parse the cricket terminology to understand what exactly was going on, because America, baseball, etc. But suffice it to say, if you enjoy watching Piers Morgan get repeatedly pelted with a ball, have a look below:

I don’t know if I should respect him for this or not. On the one hand, those cricket balls are hard, harder than baseballs. On the other hand, he would be in that situation if he didn’t shoot his mouth off and wasn’t a jerk.

It appears that Peers got dominated.
He real is has stupide as he seems.
So, using Piers’s logic, we should demand that they ban all cricket bowlers . . . I’m for that.
Too bad they didn’t damage his mouth (well, in a way different than it’s already damaged) in such a way that he could never speak again.
The man delivering to Morgan is not bowling according to the rules. He is throwing the ball. He has already been censured for improper delivery. This when in actual proper matches. Just had to enjoy American baseball of yore. Up in Canada we were tuned in to the Detroit Tigers. When a pitcher deliberately hit the batter. A few round house punches were often thrown. Oh I should mention that was when it was Ernie Harwell the radio game commentator was on.
If Morgan is detested here that is ok. He had no defence against the individual throwing the ball.
So, if I am to understand correctly, this guy is a pompous ass all the way to a hospital visit ... and unrepentant in the ambulance.
Whatever did America do, so wrongly, to be subjected to this a-hole?
I feel the bowler stopped far too early.

More good news: First A & E decides to keep Mr. Robertson and now Piers Morgan is getting a much deserved shellacking.
