The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is ready to take on the tea party in 2014 Senate primaries and elections with a deep-pocketed boost of establishment and business Republican candidates.

"Our No. 1 focus is to make sure, when it comes to the Senate, that we have no loser candidates," Chamber strategist Scott Reed told The Wall Street Journal. "That will be our mantra: No fools on our ticket."

The U.S.Chamber of Commerce will throw it's weight against Tea Party candidates in 2014. I know many Freepers are suspicious of Newsmax as a source, but the USCofC has fired it's first bowshot.

I'm simple minded. Somebody 'splain to me why the BUSINESS COMMUNITY (Wall Street / Fortune 500, and Main Street/ Chamber of Commerce), hates the TEA party, the most overtly anti-strangulatory-taxation-and-regulation, pro-free enterprise, ergo pro-BUSINESS grassroots movement in the country.

This strikes me as strange.

But maybe somebody can tell me why.

In simple terms.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce, a has-been minority, is ready to take on people with common sense and love of God and country in 2014 Senate primaries and elections with a deep-pocketed boost of establishment and checked-pants Republican candidates.

It will probably be their last hurrah!

The party of “managed decline” can enjoy losing again then.

Pathetic, if true. That money would be better spent fighting against the communists of the Demonic Party; instead, the nimrods of the Stupid Party use it against their own constituents.

From the article, a link to a related column by Micahel Reagan...http://www.newsmax.com/Reagan/gop-republican-ryan-christie/2013/12/19/id/542855 which makes a LOT of sense to ME! (probably posted earlier, but worth reading/discussing if you missed it the first time like I did!)

Chamber types can’t wait for their payrolls to be declared legal after all, and for Obamacare to relieve them of the burden and cost of employee health insurance.

Big government collectivists don’t always call themselves democrats.

Crony capitalism wants to have regulations. Crony capitalism is all about a new aristocracy.

Great, I think we need a list of companies that are members of the chamber and we should write to them and ask just how they expect to prosper by declaring war on the Americans who buy their stuff.

Weren’t Rove’s picks for US Senate largely losers?

The Tea Party picks were successful and some unsuccessful. Yes, the Tea Party can and will improve as time marches on.

But the establishment picks in the last election? Where do they have a stellar track record of success? Please somebody tell me because I can’t find anywhere how these GOP-e types are so successful.

Who are the biggest losers here? The Tea Party or the GOP-e?

Who has the better track record of success?

It looks like time to find out the membership of the CoC to ascertain a list of companies which no longer desire to engage in commerce with Tea Party members.

They have been taken over. I would be surprised to fine ou that Soros is behind it like he was in taking over so many secretary of state positions. He is evil with a plan.

The business of government is business. Business doesn’t want to lose the ability to milk government for they what want.

Yeah, it’s all the fault of the Tea Party to Michael. He says we need to stop the infighting but I don’t see anything written about the constant caving of the establishment at every turn. How dare those upstart conservatives attempt to fight for ANYTHING.

According to the GOPe, it’s NEVER the right time to fight for anything. It’s always after the NEXT election we’ll do something.

We’ve been down this road for YEARS starting with Trent Lott and an all Republican congress. They still caved at every turn.

You can bet if the roles were reversed and the Democrats only held the house, they would be wringing concession after concession out of the Republicans. And that would include whoever the RINO was in the White House.

I’m sick of supporting them only to be betrayed once they get in power and are in a position to do something and never deliver. They are constantly run over by a militant Democrat party. They bring knives to gun fights.

Fascism.

Fascism is where the state and corporate oligarchs are in alliance.

Define the ‘Business Community’.

There are many small and mid-level businesses but they are being sold a line that the Tea Party picks losers. Similar politics to when certain people rise to the top of the American Medical Association and attempt to persuade that guns inside homes are a health hazard to children and a public health hazard in general.

Do you know what an oligarchy is?

I’ve given enough for you to answer your own question.

I'm simple minded. Somebody 'splain to me why the BUSINESS COMMUNITY (Wall Street / Fortune 500, and Main Street/ Chamber of Commerce), hates the TEA party...

The "business community"...isn't. In return for de facto government control of their enterprises, enforced though HR departments, they get monopoly positions in their markets, guaranteed government bailouts, cheap foreign labor, and the opportunity to write laws and regulations to benefit themselves in the future. This is called corporatism - known to a prior generation as fascism.

It's a sweet deal, but small business and the Tea Party pose a dire threat to the CoC's profit margins and golden parachutes. Election of a Tea Party candidate to high office might mean these entities would be thrown back into an openly competitive marketplace, forcing them to get leaner and shed dues-paying union workers and redundant executives, alike.

Neither the Chamber of Commerce nor the to major party leaderships wants any part of that - not now, when they feel they have finally got the game rigged. Thus, the hysterical lashing out and attempts to marginalize the Tea Party as radical social conservatives. And the equally villanous attempts to destroy small businesses and entrepreneurs using the EPA, Obamacare, FATCA, the IRS, and a host of other laws and agencies dedicated to ruling the USA through one giant quasi-corporate government structure.
