The Republicans in the House have controlled the federal government purse strings since January 2011. Since then they have enabled all of the spending Obama and the Democrats desired. No departments or programs have been eliminated. Even the sequester was a joke. Obamacare marches on unimpeded by any Republican action. Obama’s discretionary spending authority has not been restrained. Regulatory agencies continue to run wild.
The Republican Party is all talk and no action. Much as I abhor them, the Democrats actually fight for their professed beliefs and goals. Republicans merely talk a conservative game during election year and then proceed to support the Democrat Party program once elected or reelected.
