Boys and girls at Grace Academy in Prosper, Tex., spent most of last Friday making homemade Christmas cards for bedridden veterans at the VA hospital in Dallas.
Fourth-grader Gracie Brown was especially proud of her card, hoping it would make their day because their family might live far away, and they might not have somebody to celebrate Christmas with.
Id like them to know theyve not been forgotten and somebody wanted to say thank you, Gracie told MyFoxDFW.com.
Gracies card read, Merry Christmas. Thank you for your service. It also included an American flag.
But the bedridden veterans at the VA hospital will never get to see Gracies card. Nor will they see the cards made by 51 other students. Thats because the Christmas cards violated VA policy.

>>If they’re not Christian, they don’t need to get a Christmas Card. Why should the non-Christian veterans care?<<
Even further — what Christian wounded soldier would not smile when receiving a child’s hand made Hanukkah card (although it might not apply this year)?
Even a kwaaanzaaa card would be appreciated for the spirit given and not the ignorance of a mentally abused child.
This is just PC taken to the point where the soldiers are getting hurt by the withholding of true acts of generosity and kindness.
why don’t they just ask the Vets...we have some christmas cards here, do you want some or not.....the muzzies among them can refuse or not...(they won’t)!!!
Would Korans be acceptable? Yes.
How about gifts from al Qaeda? Yes.
THIS IS DISGUSTING.
we must honor their sacrifices by making sure we approach religious donations through highly trained VA Chaplains and seek patient approval before distribution.
Recall an article on Nov 11, 2013, "Veterans Affairs forced chaplains from program for quoting Scripture, praying in the name of Jesus, suit alleges"
It's a rigged game of religious bigotry. So long as it isn't Christian, they will consider promoting it.

Whoever said that Texas is conservative? The blue wave is starting to build up and could sweep a trio of socialist liberal women into office in 2014.
Naaa...no “in your face” or blatant attack against the country and it’s culture here. Oblahblah and demonic minions agree.
Texas is closer to flipping than most people realize.
And when it does... God help us all, because the Republicans will Never win another national election after Texas flips.
Either we deport the illegals or it’s just another 2 or 3 election cycles away from happening.
The VA and their cohorts are treating our wounded military worse than imprisoned criminals.
Really?
But . . . but that’s different.
‘Tis true. The libs are pressing hard to turn Texas blue. Amnesty and liberal migration from failed liberal states are their golden tickets.
Yes, really. Wounded prisoners get every bit as good of care and in some cases even better AND they can have all the Christmas cards from children they want. (I say this with my brother a medical officer in the VA system, a Colonel.)
America has become a sick place with a sicko government.
VA North Texas Welcomes Holiday Donations
First, we would like to state that the VA greatly appreciates donations made by students and organizations on behalf of our Veterans and we will always accept cards for our patients who celebrate Christmas. We would like to clarify the process though in which VA North Texas Health Care System (VANTHCS) handles religious/spiritual donations. All forms of holiday donations are received every year and recorded through Voluntary Services. A multi-disciplinary team led by Chaplaincy services reviews holiday cards and determines if the cards contain religious/secular material within them and in the event they do our Chaplains distribute them by asking patients on a one-on-one basis if they will accept a holiday card with religious references.
Our Veterans enlisted in the military with the understanding they may be called to fight for our freedoms. One of those freedoms is our freedom to practice a religion of our choice free of persecution. As a federal agency that provides health care to our Nations Veterans, it is our duty to uphold and respect the fact that our Veterans are from all faiths and backgrounds and we must honor their sacrifices by making sure we approach religious donations through highly trained VA Chaplains and seek patient approval before distribution.
Happy Holidays!

What policy?
We were able to do this at the local VA within the last 5 years, aprox 2008, what a shame. They had Crosses, Flags and whatever the Kids wanted to draw. Oh how the Mighty have Fallen.
Thought control is the worst form of imprisonment. To answer your question, Yes, really.
My only statement is, are you prepared to put your life on the line to fix this BS, or are you too comfortable to “risk” everything by fighting for what you believe in and what is “right”.
This is not new to the anti Christian bigots running the VA system in Texas.
