Tim Russert proves just how irreplaceable he really was.

I’ve got to believe MTP is a victim of three unmistakable trends.

1) The Democrats will lie.
2) The lib media will do everything to support the Democrats.
3) The mainstream GOP hasn’t the balls to fight the Democrats.

When you know that, what is the point of watching any political show? I listen to Rush Limbaugh when he isn’t pushing iced tea or children’s books but even he is depressing because we all know the country is circling the drain, there’s nothing that can be done about it and if you voice your displeasure in any way, you’ll be censored as a racist bigot and get harassed by the NSA or the IRS.

itself in '84 w/ GHWB as veep ..but, can't "revise" history
(infamous for the "read my lips" (taxes) comment in '88, then broke it later)

I think Mara Liasson would be great. She tries to play it down the middle, despite her personal feelings. That’s what worked so well for Russert.
